Gday All

for what itis worth our local horse, Precise Timing, has come up fav very early on the NSWTAB parimutuel ... I would expect that to change.. Tommifrancs is the obvious fav on Fixxed odds... 6 bucks is available for Precise Timing on FO. Even though this horse is a marvel and I will be backing him, I do so with no confidence... Tho they have taken him a helluva long way from Taree.. Might be a nice price avail on Betfair...

I have em this way for the Cup

13/02/2006 4:35 HOBART 8 4 TOMMIFRANCS 31
13/02/2006 4:35 HOBART 8 1 PRECISE TIMING 24
13/02/2006 4:35 HOBART 8 6 MADISON LANE 24
13/02/2006 4:35 HOBART 8 11 JUKEBOX JOHNNY 24
Tommi is clearly on top.. but favs go over in cups don't they..

One at odds to look at as well is Belzain... I think the current prices available are pretty fair overs.... Any other thoughts?

What do you have for race 1?

Brendan "First Race" McCoull has another good chance today with Symquest. May be short odds though.

From 10 rides on Saturday, he got 5 wins, 2 2nds, 2 3rds, and of course he won the first at nice odds. Let's see how he goes today.

We are looking at a dead track.

Tal Jack [2] is a moral in R6 and Lake Douglas [2] in R3. Jennifer[3] has the goods given a decent run in the field size, R7

The biggy, I'm going for the odds on True Courser e/w 1x4. Likes the 'dead', down 1/2k. much fitter after last run and only .5 from the Madison and Kounthecash last start. Madison is up 1/2k, will be no fitter, a new distance for him and 1/4 the odds because Nick is onboard and looked good last start.

Lets see if it's steak or humble pie tonight :-)

I'll go this way:

13 Petite Oiseau $6.00
6 Madison Lane $8.00
8 Dream Quest $8.00

My prices for the race (one race I've looked at today only because of all the Vic horses) are -

number name price
15 BELZAIN $6.0
11 JUKEBOX JOHNNY $7.0
4 TOMMIFRANCS $7.5
6 MADISON LANE $11.0
13 PETITE OISEAU $13.0
2 TRUE COURSER $14.0

In a pretty even race.

I imagine I'll be backing Belzain.

XPT I think Belzain is a huge chance, at very decent odds. Being very overlooked, but nothing at all wrong with it's Flemington win, here's a good form line for you:

Bendigo Cup, True Courser first, Belzain second, 1.8 lengths between them, both horses carried 52kgs. Today, Belzain again carries 52 kgs, True Courser has 57.5.....

Something to think about, (as Nadia would say - "That's for sure and certain.")

Something else to think about: Craig Newitt was on True Courser. He loves winning these big Tassie races and he's in great form.

True Courser is a weight carrier and is proven past the distance. His last run was to set his fitness for this. I couldn't believe the late plunge. I just backed for the straight win as I thought he would start about $9 to $12. Hope my tip here never started it 8-)

Nice tip there Crash,

Hope you had a nice result (and don't worry about the 'late plunge', a $6 winner is better than nothing :))

Sven :D
