Race 1,
Not an easy race to start with ,,Skyleda rates very high..really liked his last run and the likely slow track helps his cause he gets back in his races and really winds up,,the track here gives these types of horse there chance..Galloway likes the horse aswell,,,...Wheel the lead rates the highest,,has been racing very well and the lebron form is ok and with the claim will only have 54.5 kg's,droping back in distance is the only worry..,, These look the two for me....thought Veerod a chance of jagging a place at odds...very nice run last start..
Skyleda / Wheel the lead...
Race 2.
I dont like this race all that much,,alot of pretenders in this lot,,You'd think this race is taylor made for Monte Cavallo but youd go broke backing this horse for the win every time..the form around ths horse stacks up and if your willing to believe he'll get the distance hes easily the top rater..thought Aerosol could run a cheeky race here..no weight and likely to get the lead fairly easy..if little Moris can steal a break on them he'll be hard to catch.. ...King Latarmiss likes the track and the JB knows the track and where to start his run....these the top 3..work the multis around these...
Monte Cavallo on top,,, just have to find the courage. ,,,/ Aerosol/ King Latarmiss
Race 3.
I've taken on Mesmorising of late and have been sucessful with it..tomorrow i think she can win this. good run last start and just seems ready to peak here and the track suits..,,the wet ?? if the weather is the same as today it will be on the good side of slow or even dead..and she won nicely on the dead at e/f.....i like her alot...
Nice to see Tycoon Rose race against the girls and shes in this with a huge place chance.....Suubird interested me last start,,i'm convinced this horse is best at 1100m but she raced well over the 1350m last start...Colless the difference i guess,,
Ally Bee if it rains just grows another leg......
but i really like Mesmorising.
Race 4
I was very impressed with De Castella...sutton might have something here,,he cruised to victory last start and wasnt tested...this is the test of course but i like the way he strides out..the breeds been disapointing for mind but i like this one...alot to like about the way Moglich fought on last start,,,i like the Clangs in the wet ...Sweet As did enormous to finish where she did last start..sat 3 wide on the lead from a good alley..hope they get her to settle this time behind the leaders..she'll love this wide open straight to wind up in...
De Castella / Sweet As .....Moglich....
Race 5.
Surpised to find that Grecolo even with the horror alley still rates on top...this horse has good barrier speed so he seems to find a posie pretty easily..got the good run last start but i thought laboured with the weight in the straight alittle...still if he repeats that run he wins this,,I'd really like to back Diamonds but he hasnt impressed me this prep...the distance and track and likely conditions suit but he hasnt showed that good finish he used to have...(i'll see it tomorrow with me just me just watching)
.Rumbird the big danger...will get back and wind up and the distance is perfect but the slow track is a question mark...(the catbirds in the wet ?)
Greccolo,,,,should get a price jumping from that alley :)
Race 6.
Im prepared to take La Zizeranne here with the extra weight and against the boys...unlike me to jump on then off a horse but...Mitanni and Hasta La Ciao Ciao look the 2...
Mitanni should have won last start...forester just needed to keep him balanced but instead worried about where he was on the track,,,the form around Spirit of Tara is 1st class,,,,,Hasta just blitzed them last start and although this is way harder she did it with ease and she has improvement still in her,,,drops weight aswell...
Consular and old fav of mine will run well,,especially if they ride him back,,ridiculous tactics last start...but i think hed be better suited on a better track,,..
Mitanni to win..good starting point the 1400m ...Hasta close up and worth backing as well if at the odds you can....Top marc / Consular /LA Sizerane to place ,,,
Race 7.
Most people think Sphenohpta has already won this...I dont think it will be all that easy..Ipswich is a very deceptive track and JB basically used it like a slingshot and stole the race...this track plays the opposite..i liked the way JymCarew hit the line last start..i needed convincing he could run the trip and i think he can,, depends on how the track is playing......Empyreal if by this time if the track is alittle choppy will win this ..just a good old fashion swimmer....I'll take on the hotpot (i always do) Jymcarew if the track is dead,,,Empyreal if its wetter,,,simple :) unsure ? then back them both with the phyta as the saver..
Race 8.
Court Adjourned looked real good last start...had no luck at all in a very good race..i know it was a blanket finish and these can be deceptive but his run against Becks was good also...to bad the track conditions dont suit,,,,Lasting Luck if you forget last run where he was just to far back has great form for a race like this...pushed Helter Skelter ,,beat Fluffy Duck and was beaten just by San Fransisco,,,,has the good alley and will be in it for a long way...JB helps...the 3yr filly Tabinga Lass should have won last start,,has had a million starts already but seems to enjoy it..at odds a real good place chance..
Lasting Luck if im having a good day..,,,

Scary taking on the 2 hotpots La Sizeranne and Phyta but i'm feeling adventerous after a good time of late..
Best Bets,,,,Monte Cavallo, Mesmorising
Best E/W's... Skyleda, Grecolo, Mitanni,Jymcarew
Best Roughie,,,Tabinga Lass, Aerosol

Good luck all :)

Track is my main issue not sure what sort of rating we are going to be looking would guess probably around slow.

Race 1: Terribly hard race to start the day I amnot overly confident about anything here I don't mind Soul Diva, Rum Dum, Skyleda and Vee Rod. If I had to pick out of them right now it would probably be Soul Diva and Rum Dum really thought Soul Diva was quite a nice run last start one of the few outside of Hasta La Ciao Ciao to make up ground in a very slowly run race I also thought Rum Dum was going well until last start not sure what happened there might have just been an off day.

Race 2: Not a fan of anything here but I did give Regimental a chance of going close in this always running on and well who knows might just get the lucky breaks in this Pope knows the track well so he should give it every chance thought Chasin' Tail might prove hard to get past in the straight aswell.

Race 3: Another hard race here Banabolda has had the writing on the wall but I don't think the step up in distance is to it's liking it always gave me the inkling it was a rather weak horse I can't come into Mesmerising it has had it's chances in my opinion and hasn't done it yet and I'll be betting it is still trying after tomorrow Anca gives me a similar feeling a bit of a gunna, Your starting to see why I don't like this race a great deal.

If someone forced me to pick a horse it would be a toss up between Dana's Kingdom and maybe Equal with a bit of a rough sort of chance to Dorin Donna I do feel it may need a run or 2 though.

Race 4: Sweet As has to win a race soon but it just keeps making bad luck for itself she is certainly good enough just needs to do herself some favors, I have an opinion of Maserardi thought she hit the line pretty good last start and the step up in distance can only be a help for her after that I would give a bit of a chance to Coffee Time form doesn't read to badly and will get in very light with the claim here.

Race 5: Well I have been on Rumbird all prep but tomorrow will be different firstly I don't like the fact every man and his *** is tipping the horse already and the other is the Catbird factor in the breeding it will not handle the wet IMO dead is as bad as he wants it. I am thinking of going back to Prend here to be honest been off it for the last 3 starts but she will be fit and there looks to be enough speed in the race to give her a chance not to mention I think she really likes the cut out of the ground, after that I didn't mind Grecolo and Indomato who I think might be a good rough chance.

Race 6: I to am off of La Sizeranne this week she had the race given her last week not the case this time, Hasta La Ciao Ciao looks a very promising horse however I did notice that she is listed as doubtful on sportsbet so I wonder what the issue is there, Mitanni is a must include he doesn't quite run out the mile and yes I agree with you Mav the form around Spirit of Tara is as good as any around right now, I might sound nuts but I reckon there are a pair of roughies who have an outside chance here Doonan Dancer who I think should handle the track alright was a great run in the eye liner and is currently about $31 and Birthday Bash he is by Shinko Forest and for the most part they don't mind the sting out also around the $31 I also wouldnot leave out Tropical Express great run last start behind a pretty good horse even if it did bleed.

Race 7: Just give me Sphenophyta here that was a hell of a win last start he was fantastic the way he just rounded the field up in the matter of 100 metres was awesome I think he just wins the only danger in my opinion is Empyreal just dirty on it after last week it should have won and gave in a bit easy for mine. Roughie Lester Thunderwing hard to see him winning though.

Race 8: I'll be happy to be taking on that cat Chut it just refuses to put in on the track was one of the most overrated animals I have ever seen. Court Adjourned, Marikal, Deputy Deal and maybe Tearinupthecountry are all chances here I am slightly leaning to Deputy Deal though form looks alright if you go back to last prep might have just taken a couple of runs this prep with the claim and great wet track form I wouldn't leave this out of anything.

If I get a chance I will post my other states in the morning not sure though good luck to all.

Another thing hoping my mates horse Magical Idea goes alright at the Gold Coast in Race 2 aslong as it isn't scratched ofcourse.

Looks like a Dead track today at Sunny COast,,,suns out and shinning..
Brings Court Adjourned back into it in the last...
Chasin Tail is confidently tipped by a friend whos usually got the inside mail about a horse...,,will have to keep it safe.
Still happy with Mitanni as he should get it his own way up front..
Royal Rapid in melbourne ?? any thoughts ?? missed it last night but it is a booker..,,

Helter Skelter is a chance in Melbourne I don't mind Haphazard in that race and can't wait to see how one of my old favs Speedy King comes back in that race.

Hey Mav,

Sorry for the late response, had a big one last night. Doesn't look a bad meeting today at the Sunny Coast, some good races and some pretty promising horses. Thankfully, the track is dead...this has to be the wettest track in Australia.

Race 1 - For some reason i like the Kiwis here. Hooker Road won well last start at this track, with a bit of weight, in good time. For that reason, and the fact that he'll be good odds, i've settled on him. The Silence Sir won well last time and the 4 alley should help him again today. Michelle Payne's a good hoop too. Maybe Soul Diva for 3rd, who will appreciate the easier grade here. Tough race to start on, but i think E/W Hooker Road is a reasonable option.

Race 2 - Now this is just bad. Maybe Chasin Tail can return to some form but i wouldn't want to be on at the price they'll be betting. He put 3 or 4 together last campaign in and around town so if he can get anywhere near those figures, he'll be tough to stop. Aerosol can lead here, and he goes very fast when the jock lets him roll. If he doesn that, he can stick on pretty well...he's generally good odds too. Natale is a horse with ability and can improve off the last run here. Having said that, he might need one or two more runs but he definately bears some watching.

Race 3 - Mesmerising gets her last chance here. If she can't beat this lot, over this distance, then she is officially sacked. She has more ability than her last few have indicated, so if she gets back to any of her better runs, then i think she wins it. That is a big if though :). Tycoon Rose can run a race here too. Back in fillies and mares grade, i think shes got a massive chance to at least place. Doesn't win out of turn, but always puts in. La Danske is a chance too, from the good alley and the good hoop on board. Otto is a smart trainer too. Often these Kiwis improve at their second run over here too, so this one bears some watching.

Race 4 - Not a bad 2yo race here, though some of the interest has gone with the scratching of Go Sequalo. Nevertheless, theres nothing wrong with the rest of them. Well i think its time for Sweet As. She has had things go wrong the last few, but is starting to develop as one who has 'potential' but never shows it. This is a field she can beat if she is any good, and from the 3 alley, i think she can. The Sunny Coast track should be good too, the long straight gives the backmarkers plenty of time to wind up. Inthemix has ability too, and may derive some benefit from the last run. Maund has been having a great run lately, and this field isn't top notch, so theres no reason why this one can't do something. De Castella did look good last time and there is definately good improvement in the horse - having had only 1 start :). Good chance.

Race 5 - Same as last race, some of the interest has gone out with Grecolo being scratched. I'll sit back and wait for Rumbird to win one before i fall into short odds about him. He has undeniable talent, but needs to win at this level before i take him seriously at short odds. I like Teletrader. He has been disappointing on face value lately, but he meets much easier grade here and i think he can win. He hasn't exactly had bad jockeys lately either (Beadman, Katsidis, Byrne). Well Prend is the most annoying horse on the planet, from my perspective. I've seen her put in mesmerising finishes, and then i've seen her battle to the line when she should probably have done more. Given that, as i said above, this is a slightly easier 3yo town field, i think she can improve again to go close. The Sunny Coast track suit her, with the long straight...so all she needs is some speed on. Shale Shaker is a horse i've got a bit of time for, he has ability and might be one to bob up at massive odds.

Race 6 - Well, unlike Mav and Raw, i like La Sizeranne here. Her last win was dominant and she did it against a pretty good field. Given that, and the fact that this field isn't overly strong for a Glasshouse, i think she can win. She does need the speed on, but with Mitanni engaged (and to a lesser extent, Umaprince) it should be on. Rodd is riding in great form too, you should never have any worries backing one of his in these sort of races. Mitanni tried valiantly to lead all the way way at EF last time (not an easy task, i might add). If Colless can hold him up a little bit, he can go close here. He has run some good races at this track too, so that holds no fears. Birthday Bash won well at the coast race time and while this is a massive jump in class, this horse has always had ability and won't be far off at the death i think. 20s or 30s is overs, for mine.

Race 7 - Well, i like Sphenophyta a fair bit. He dropped them in a few strides at Ippy the other day and the way he let down suggests that the distance here won't be a problem. He did get a little bit tired at the end of the race, but he was entitled to given the tough run he had. With some speed on here, i really think he can win this one. Ring of Fire has some pretty big wraps on him and the last win was pretty good, but i just think Sphen has the better gear change at this stage. Plus, i'm not sure how much the Tatts Cup has taken out of this bloke, it was a wet track and they didnt seem to be making light work of it. That said, he has obvious talent and shouldn't be taken lightly. Empyreal has followed much the same path to this race as he did last year and should be taken seriously given that he won it by 5 or so lengths. What is the world coming to? I've picked a kiwi trifecta...

Race 8 - Think Lasting Luck can improve here on her home track. The sting out will help and the 5 alley and Byrne is great. I like her at the odds. Testify has ability too and can figure in this race if there isn't much speed on. He'll appreciate not running inot Starlactic here too :). Deputy Deal is a chance in this sort of race too, with the claim.

Not a bad day today, with my best being La Sizeranne and Sphenopyta with E/W chances going to Teletrader and La Danske.

Good luck all,

Sven

Race 7: 4.Sphenophyta; 1.Ring of Fire; 9.Le Bron

Race 8: 3.Court Adjourned; 9.Lasting Luck; 8.Thebarefootbushman; 10.Stood Up

BEST: 2,2 Chasin' Tail - Solid 5th two runs ago when wide throughout against Becks, then 3rd in the Glasshouse Prelude here. 1400m and dead track suit.

6,2 La Sizeranne - was going to go to stud after the last run so the back up suggests she's in this for another win.

7,4 Sphenophyta - Huge win last start when 2nd up at only its 8th race start. Fitter and capable of further improvement. Won only slow track start by a huge space in NZ. Bigger track here a plus.

Cheers,

Filante

Starting to see why I stay away from betting at the Sunshine Coast alot just got to the lead at the moment everything is struggling to make up any ground from the races I have seen.

Howard Walter tipped Simplex as a special and the other 3 horses in the first 4 were certainly quite pickable. But no, I didn't have it.

Agree with that. Lillybiddy is suspect at 1400m but held on easily. On pace favoured. However, looking through the rest of the card, only Mitanni in the 6th is an on pace runner with decent form and the tempo should be solid in that race with Umaprince following it across from the wide draw.

Mitanni looks like it can't lose so it probably will

LMFAO what a crock of **** that is all I am saying Umaprince you are kidding me Consular hasn't done anything for a couple of runs and quite honestly looked like he was ready for the retirement home and well I guess the 1st leader I have backed all day managed to have a heart attack 100 from home and fall in for 3rd.

Congrats mate but trust me I live in rocky and the form isn't worth toilet paper to be honest there are some very ordinary animals here.

But trust me I amnot trying to rain on your party well done you have done very well who cares how you get a 50-1 shot if you get them you sure don't that is for sure.

Well done HW...

That horse has promised to win a nice race for a while now and i'm glad he did it. That being said, i gave up on backing him a while ago :D

I have had a horse pay $109 for the win before which I have backed that won it was named Silver Laser won something like a Launceston Cup a few years ago other than that had a few around the $70 mark over the last couple of years but you sure can never get any better than getting a big roughie up.

I hope I am keeping everyone entertained here anyway (I didn't bet in the cup just annoyed with Empyreal would have won a stack on it last week on an allup)

Yes, very entertaining, Raw. :)

Personally, I had a good day in Melbourne and okay in Sydney. Only had a few small bets at the Sunshine Coast as I've never done much good there.

Hindsight says should have stopped after the 1st 2 races at Sunny,
was a mile up early.

Maybe Summer Splash in the last at Belmont will make a fairly good day a whole lot better.

Wasnt me Brian.i was in the office yet agin yesterday,,,.isnt rosey a good honest horse....Bob does a good job with her..not sure she was in the right races this prep but against the girls she could have a won a few this prep..

Not a bad day yesterday...will do a summary when i see the replays later tonight..
got a few over the line in other states...
Hard work at the sunny coast...the horse is was least confident about Diamonds won...how ironic..

What the hell is that bloke doing with his horses? Surely they deserve a break sometime...

Race 1.
Backed Skyleda and was feeling confident in the run...he hit the line well for 2nd and with luck earlier in the straight he could have won...Bikkie tin blues has been consistant and was over the odds...
Skyleda is stepping up to 2000m next start,,,,i'll be on..
Race 2.
Had a good result here with the tri and some of the 1st4 ...Monte Cavallo again finished well for 3rd just doesnt know how to win..
Race 3.
Mesmorising for the 1st and last time for me here...did nothing..should have been on old Rosie but had a brain explosion..
,,thought Ally Bee was impressive..look for her on the heavy..
Race 4.
Backed De Castella e/w and he showed alot inexperience...still early for him and he'll learn a bit from that run....not dismissing him yet even though he finished last :)
RAce 5.
Woohoo a nice result with Diamondsondinside..had everything in his favour and deserved the win....still the win wasnt anything to write home about....Grecolo better than this lot...thought Prend ridden very close ran well...
nice trifecta for 1/2 helped alot....
RAce 6.
Mitanni looked the winner 1/2 way down the straight......Consular very honest run in unsuitable ground,,,..
Race 7,
Guessing the fall stopped any chance for Jymcarew but wasnt convinced anyway he was travelling well enough...Phyta still ran a great race but the long straight sorts the real stayers out ....old Lester still suprises me..
Race 8.
Had a small e/w on Tabinga Lass who ran again today...The trainer is slightly mad...battled on well yesterday for a good 3rd...
Court Adjourned will keep for a good track....

3 winning races out of 8 ,,,i'll take that...Nice result with Diamonds and 1/2 the tri..a small win race 2 and a small win race 8..
as good as can be expected on one of those days.....

Sydney
Opal Chip,,,no good,,wait til hes back in the country somewhere..loss
With A Chance,,,,woohoo nice result...
Melbourne
Straight Legs....been good to me this horse,,just flying at the moment....nice tri
High Costalana...brave but knocked up alittle,,, loss
Gold Coast
Startled Hunter,,,,woohoo ,,massive result here...fantastic tri...
General Sam....had his chance ,,loss
Chevron Island,,..great run off the wide barrier,,,a win or 2 instore for this one..loss
Toowoomba
Coquito Rose,,,,e/w just never got into it...
Adelaide
Swiss Vault,,,just couldnt get clear...
Belmont
I see my tips on my original thread are missing..had a good result but wont claim it on here..1 winner, 1 loss,,

18 full stake races yesterday..6 winning races plus the little collect on Tabinga Lass....

Continue to get lucky on the Saturdays... :) and give some of it back during the week....gave some of it back today even with Designer Cleo finishing 3rd....(a couple of stable runners won today..Proud Hunter and Frisco model... missed out today..snooze you lose..)

Bring on next week..

Sven

The guys alittle nuts,,,but theres arguements that support his method,,the horses are going well and seem to be taking no ill affect from the runs...
they are both young horses and one must think that there might be long term affects here but ,,who knows ..,,,then again maybe we sook our horses to much ..to much poor commercial breeding are maybe giving us a generation of horses with weak legs ?? these cheaper horses are maybe bred to race and the trainer has confidence in there makeup...
2 days running is a bit much though...and their ages worry me alittle..these arent hardened 5 or 6 yos..
