Dual Group One winner He's No Pie Eater has been euthanased after he shattered a shoulder at track work this morning at Randwick.

It is believed that the related insurance claim will be the largest ever to be paid out for an Oz racehorse!

That is terrible news he was really beginning to deliver on his promise terrible luck for all involved.

Very sad news. Was one of my favourites. Had him at 200/1 ew in the Cox. Didn’t get a run. Ran the same day in the Vase. After trying to cross from a wide gate ended up doing it tough throughout and weakened in the straight to finish 7th behind Efficient. Made a nice profit when he won the Chipping Norton :) Now a pie in the sky ;)
