For those that look at the time ratings I put up each day here are some figures for you:
Best Times Top Rated
Races : 12,337
WIN Return : 12,328
WROT : 99.9%
Place Return : 11,725
PROT : 95%
Thats not too bad for any rating system in my opinion considering it has no filters.
Avg Times Top Rated
Races : 12,337
WIN Return : 11,872
WROT : 96.2%
Place Return : 12,058
PROT : 97.7%
Not bad but not as good as the best times.
Best + Avg Top Rated
Races : 6,215
WIN Return : 6,014
WROT : 96.7%
Place Return : 6,001
PROT : 96.5%
Interestingly combining the ratings actually reduces the ROT. Best to stick to using the Best time by the looks of it.
Good Luck.

Wesmip1, those are amazing figures.
Just out of interest do you have the results assuming they were boxed in quinellas?

Michaelg,
I don't play the exotics much so I don't have those figures saved. Sorry.

Excellent results Wes.
Any theories on why the average times perform slightly worse?
I guess if we were to follow these ratings we,d be wise to only bet on the best times that arent also the top average time -
Best Times Top Rated
Races : 6,122
WIN Return : 6,314
WROT : 103.13%

I know I getting old, I can't seem to find them. What's the heading of the thread for your daily time ratings or is it on another site?

g'day wesmip1. I have often looked at your time ratings and have noticed that you get a fair few winners at long prices. Are the results that you have posted for the top rated horse or for the full set of selections on a level stake basis? Keep up the good work regardless what the knockers will say.

Beagle,
Just the top rated selection.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Good Luck.
