picking the jockey is not the same as picking the winning horse.

Good luck to you though for plucking the multis.

my son picked the winner only because he doesnt follow racing and thought the the name sounded cool :) gets a nice cricket bat now ,,(and also the dreaded gambling bug for life)

:DNot quite as good as the classic Bill Collins "Kingston Town can't win" in that Cox Plate many years ago though. (IMHO)

i think early on in his preparation many people would have. early on he was solo favourite and i know my dad was one who was singing his praises saying he couldn't get beat. personally i gave him a little thought but not much and definitely didnt think hed win today.

with every run in his preparation he just looked flatter and slower. i think it was the same with maybe better, both just plodded along in the turnbulls and the coxs and the mackinnon. what would he have done had it not been a late scratching???????

would it have been in the same boat?

Yeah, I'd have picked him in August and September. But today........ nope. :(
