Is the track at Kensington strathyr like at Moonee Valley. Ive heard different stories but im not sure. Been trying to work it into an angle but its been showing little results so thinking maybe it was in the past and now is back to grass.

Hey pharfromoz :)
I think Randwick course proper & Kensington inner are both grass (kikuyu)
No ****-pert but think there is a difference comparing to the MV strathayr turf system

i meant heard different stories about kensington being grass or strathyr not differences between the two tracks. heard stories written a few years ago that it was strathyr because they were mentioning stories of horses getting the mesh stuck in their hooves when coming back to the winners circle.

its a surface switch angle.

Hi Pharfromoz,

This information from the AJC website

<table class="dataTable" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td>Kensington Track - Fully Grassed:</td> <td> Circumference
Length of Straight
Width of straight at winning post</td> <td> 2100m
400m
18m</td></tr></tbody></table>
It is described as an All Weather track. I do not believe it is a Strathyr track as I a believe Moonee Valley is the only Strathyr track in Oz.

I could not locate any details on its composition.
