Comments are invited on this approach to finding value winners on city tracks:
Must have Won in last 12 months in this grade and Won 3 city races. Must have won around this distance and this time up. Ignore tracks, jockeys, weight, barriers ,
etc, etc .......
Suit yourself on the odds.

Hi T Auto,
Your idea has some sound principles in that it essentially looks for horses that are proven in the class, have shown that they an win every now and again and have won around this distance at least once this preparation.
Of course I can't say if it will lead to profits....I doubt it...especially if run purely on a mechanical basis. Even though they are sound principles, winning isn't so simple.
However it's certainly better than some of the other ideas others have posted, simply because it is based on sound racing principles. It may be a good mechanical starting point where you can take the selections and subject them to some final analysis and judgement to see if they are in fact worthwhile bets.
Run it as a trial and develop selections prior to the races this weekend and see how you would have gone.
Perhaps even extend it further.....once you have your selection through this approach and reviewed it with some of your own judgement, look at the favourite and see if you think it can be faulted. Note those where you think it is vulnberable and those where it looks solid. See how your results pan out based on not only the selection but also your assessment of the potential value in the race.
good luck.
