Gday All,
I have been away for a bit trying something different. Let's see if they stand up.. How to bet them is the problem.. After some very limited testing they are showing a profit on both win and a place. I am going to use a staking method I read here of 1x6 and see how it works. Most of these horses should at least give u a run for your cash.. Most races have 2 selections not in a particular order.

R3 Ararat
3 Manmade

R1 Canberra
5 Oh what a moment

R4 Ararat
4 Flaming Jet
5 Hunter Red

R2 Flemington
1 Jeune Royale
9 Golden Shoe

R4 Flemington
1 Many Are Called
3 I wrote to a King

R4 Canberra
17 Del Arwin

R5 Flemington
1 Careyes
6 Loong Har

R5 Canberra
6 Grand Zulu
8 Clew's Place

R7 Doomben
1 Sir Mukafast
3 Rust

R7 Flemington
3 Brace Yourself

R7 Canberra
1 Kablammo

R8 Flemington
6 Free Hit

R8 Canberra
5 Hubcapper
9 Gregacious

R9 Flemington
4 Grand Society
7 First Love

Xpt,

I will be interested to see how the 1x6 goes. Where you have 2 selections in a race, how do you bet that ?

I tried 1x6 for a very short time and it worked well, but enough winners were coming up so I prematurely dumped it for the win bet. A great idea though when the bad streaks hit winning form and everything is coming in 2nd.

It is based on US racing, and mathematically, supposedly the best e/w bet. Shouldn't be too different here. I suppose it is a place system with win saver. Nothing worse than having a place bet, only to see it win!

You get out of P/M yet ? I'd hate to rent there now. Wish I had bought when I lived there 15yrs. ago.

Cheers.

I WRITE:
I will back them both at the same stake, ie 3x18..

Yeah I kinda agree with you there. I have been running a Trainer stable for quite a long tme now, and got fed up to the back teeth with getting nutted and seeing em pay 7 and 8 bucks the place.. (backin Win only) That stable was in profit by a wee bit on the win but after I decided to stake it 1x6 the improvement in profit was to say the least dramatic..

Oh yeah those selections showed a profit today, not huge but in the black just the same.. I have about 30 races assessed tomorrow, not sure that i should post that many..

I write: I am still here, and will be going to the races on Monday all things being equal.. The Real Estate has gone mad here, just like everywhere else..

Testa,

No place bets in comp. so it will read as win only [unless you change it before race].

Have good day.
