Hi,
Have been off the air (o/s) for a few weeks. Does anybody now when Takeover Target runs again (or when they are looking at racing him). Have gotten on him four out ouf five times (missed the ramornie because I was away). My Missus pointed him out at his first start because I used to be in Mergers and Acquisitions. What a girl!!!
Any info would be much appreciated.

Last I heard out for a short spell with a possible tilt at the spring carnival in Melbourne.

I heard that it actually wasn't sold to Hong Kong but it was a father and son here in Australia who wanted to buy it but as far as I know the deal didnot go through.

Owner/trainer Joe Janiak bought Takeover Target for $1400.Story I read somewhere said that he would sell him if offers reached $1 million, but the highest offer to date was $600.000.which he knocked back.Only time will tell if he is agood judge or a mug for knocking back all that dough, but gee the horse sure hasn't let him down yet!!

Just read on Racenet that Joe was offered$1million after his win in the ramornie, subject to a vet inspection clearance. He did not say who the prospective buyers were, but did say he had advised them to contact the horses previous trainer John Morish to find out the prior history of the horse. He has not heard from them since that conversation, there has been no vet check and he is assuming the sale is off.Went on to say the horse is spelling at Picton in NSW,is happy to be keeping his best mate, and that maybe will win him $1 million anyway!!
