hey topsy,

saw your original post, couldn't reply (don't ask).

But my notes from the run of Pompous for that day were as follows.

No Push from Gate
2 wide Turn, check (1 length) Turn,
3 wide entering straight, 5 wide straight blocked for a run then steadied.

I suspect I'm like you and waiting for his next run, but I was glad they scratched him last week as I wasn't keen putting my hard earned on with K.Stra aboard. Plus 1000m was too short (4-0-0-0).

My thoughts were justified when she didn't hit Oxford Dollar once in the straight and he got beat by a half head. I was glad as I backed Dakasha but there is no way I should have won. I saw her interviewed on Community TV Adelaide the night before that race and she even commented in the interview that she "doesn't like using the whip as gets unbalanced on the horse and loses her confidence".

So if McEvoy plans on putting her on, I'll just watch I think as much as I would like to back him. Like to see him over 1200m with Spiteri on him
