Well it's a country meet, how bad could this tip be?

Drops in class and weight and loves a bit of give in the track, not sure about the heavy going, won a very similar event a few months back, at odds, topweight Riceman is very very smart and would pay to have in quin/exact.

Gday Rudolph

Agree ... Riceman is a smart one and should win.. Not sure what sort of price there will be about it tho

My money will be on smart and mighty. Great e/w odds and at best should give this a shake. Dont mind prairie rose in the 5th either. Form has been sound and doesnt mind these conditions.

That gave me a good idea, decided to take a running double, Prairie Rose into Riceman, paid a pretty handy $13.40 on S-tab.

Nice work guys with Riceman and Prairie Rose, both had punters prairie dogging in the straight, but did the right thing.

Well done rudolf, I was suprised at the odds on prairie rose I got on at 4.80 stab.

Yes it was an excellent price on NSW Tab. I always saw this race as a match in two between Praire and flash command. Should have taken a quinella. I really thought Salsa would knock off riceman. Oh well.

Hows this. I backed piculet in the last at Hawkesbury and had it with Rose of Kingston and crowns in credit in a tri box. Damn it...I could see the move for Mr Collins on IAS and left it out.

Oops... that horse's name was Port of Kingston.

P.Harvey in WA is really something. He just nailed another one.

ps. I really do think the big midweek class 1 races are a riot. The "hot pot" seems to get beaten by some nag with no weight. Half the field is often first up and unproven first up. Last start maiden winners seem to flop spectacularly etc.
Races to avoid, I reckon!

Bad luck on the trifecta Frankster...
i must admit i'm real lazy nowadays with the tris...i just select my banker then the field..usually for half depending on how many are in the field..
Great win by Piculet...was a fantastic ride as well..
i was also on Salsa...weird ..have we got the same black book ?

Maverick, I usually play the tris in the same way. I love those big field races where the top weight/favourite is 8 lengths better than the field and 2nd/3rd seem to come in at huge odds regularly.

I had a nice win on Salsa last time around in the city. Sometimes I put too much emphasis on a last start city winner backing up at the provincials.

Well didn't that turn out to be a lousy tip? Typical.
