I have always been of the opinion that the great George Moore was the best jockey that I had ever seen ride. Who could forget his ultra successful comeback in 1971 when he won the Golden Slipper on Fairy Walk and later that year won the big Group 1 race in Brisbane on Rajah Sahib?
I never thought that another jockey could dominate the racing scene, particularly in Sydney, like G. Moore, until the emergence of Darren Beadman.
He has gone on his winning way again at Rosehill today and more importantly, if you study his rides, you will note that most horses improve/respond with his domineering riding style. Definitely the "punters' pal" as was G. Moore, however, in G. Moore's case the bookies always gave punters "unders."
Anyone agree/disagree?

Cheers.
