Hi Guys...Just won a grand on a poker tournament so hopefully that luck will carry over to tomorrow..been on for 5 hours so havent quite finished the ratings but in case i dont get on in time tomorrow..i'll list m thoughts..
Pity about the wet ...dont think i'll be going at anything to heavy ...more a day where you tread carefully and look for e/ws..

Race 1.
Dr Dujon ..i liked the way this horse finished off last start...needed the extra distance and gets it..looks a hard race ....Hopeson looks to have the toppy covered and won well last start...will be looking at these 2..

Race 2.
Tender truce did ok last start..in ok time on the slow,,,if i had 2 bet id be looking at him...a race where the bar looks the best place to be..

Race 3.
Giacometti won well last start,,but i thought Daimyo had him covered but the rider was caught napping...still a good run though and seems to like the wet...will get the good trial behind Green Lagonda and Celestane who are both very speedy..the claim helps,,,
probably one of the best of the day..

Race 4
this is the type of race anything can get up...usually value here but you have to find it..
King Latarmiss will be all the rage..likes the wet and distance..i just dont like him..just to inconsistent for me..
Hello Possums is ok in the wet ...good jock but the barrier suks....but tomorrow being off the fence might not be that bad if they chop it all up.. i'll probably stick by him ..and i should get e/ws..
not sure about Serenote and Octama because of the wet..but they are both capable in this field..

Race 5.
I'm a fan of Stood up ..ran some very good races last prep.....first up 1400 ? ..claim helps though and he does like the wet ....11's or more is ok value imo ...a hard race to rate this one....Geeteehaycho looks to have ability..great jockey but the barrier suks..very good trainer and chased home the Master last start...well in this,,
will be looking at these 2.

Race 6.
High Academy is flying ...just not sure of the 1800m..not harshly treated with the weight though and likes the wet..the only danger i see is Xlerate who ran very well last start..looked to of handled the track ok last start and will like E/F's open spaces and the extra distance..
these 2 to in an exacta :)

Race 7.
Lost a stack on Daunting Lad last start...might get my chance to do it again tomorrow..gets her chance with no weight and a few suspect with the wet..
thought Nessuno who was ridden alittle upside down last start a big show here..should get the nice run and has a good sprint when saved. but it might not suit him much tomorrow,,
if its mud then watch for everyone jumping on Omnitrader..i'll be looking for something to beat it though..
hopefully Daunting Lad or Nessuno..will see how they look ...hopefully daunting lad is around 15,s and i can ahve a nibble e/w

Race 8.
How do you not back Starlactic..horse won so very easily last start..and this is about the same field..looks a special..
Sanfransisco looks to have a chance here from the good alley..problem is it might not be that good at that time of the day..
easy way to finish..

Best is Giacometti and Starlactic

good luck all and be carefull at Eagle Farm..alot of tricky races..

i might have a few bob each way on green lagonda. 1000 will suit him a little better than 1100 last start. hell take some running down

I think Xlerate is going to be damn hard to today probably won't be any great odds but his last run was great all he has to do is repeat that and he wins this.

G'day Mav,

Haven't done much on them today, i thought they'd be called off for sure.

Race 1 - Not even going to bother with this one. I would have gone for She's Notable, but that now that she's scratched...i haven't got a fancy.

Race 2 - Thought maybe Tender Truce, was a good win last time and Bailey is on fire. Karalee will be short but first up in the heavy is a doubt. Mono Mac is there, but he had everything to suit last time and he won't get it as easy this time.

Race 3 - Thought Saint Angelo could win this. Was a dominant win at Toowoomba last time and Mcmahon taking 2 off helps too. I like Jay Dee Rocks a lot as a horse, but the 1000m does not suit. Over more ground, i think he is one to watch. Giacometti won well over Daimyo first up, who has since won well. She is a chance for sure.

Race 4 - Moving North has good form and good wet form, so i think he can go close. King Latarmiss is a wet tracker through and through but his last run was shocking. He can probably improve with the extra journey. Bavosa might improve with the claim and the fitness runs first and second up.

Race 5 - Instructed, Gang, Geeteehaycho. Don't like the race, so i won't expand. NEXT

Race 6 - Thought Enabler was a good bet at long odds. Can bob up at good odds sometimes, and doesn't mind the wet tracks. From the good alley with Cahill aboard, i think he'll run well. Enthusiast has never repeated the form he had before his knee injury, but i just can't leave him out. HIgh Academy is in great form he can not be left out, i doubt he'll miss a place.

Race 7 - Omnitrader should go close. Leads, loves the wet. He'll do me. Panzer is a tough old boy and can go close here with all the scratchings. A Little Naughty was a big win 2 back at Eagle Farm and if that is reproduced, will go close.

Race 8 - It's a shame that this race has been obliterated by scratchings, cauz i thought Starlactic would beat them all anyway. Oh well. On figures, he is far too good for these, and if he repeats any of his last 3 runs, he wins. Telegrand and Lang Park for the minors, but they are all playing for 2nd place behind Starlactic.

Good luck today all, Starlactic my best with a watch on Jay Dee Rocks.

I agree Ijuanda ..if Celestane wasnt in the race i'd be looking at Green Lagonda ...they might just go nuts together up front and set it up for something..

weird being home on a Saturday...no point going to ef..will still have a play with some of them though ...
good luck if u have a go today :)

Giacometti is short ...
i thought Just the Star at that price might be worth a nibble...well bred horse out of a Mukkadamah mare who was more than handy ...
the Mukkes like the wet usually ...good jock on board..
and Just the star ran some mighty races last prep....at double figures i'll be having my 2 bobs on .. :)

G'day Mav,

Sounds like you had another good day, congrats :).

Couple of great runs in High Academy (as AT kept telling us :)) and Starlactic. Haven't seen the time that Starlactic ran, but he'll be winning some nice black type races in the near future if his form keeps up.

Good effort by Saint Angelo too, bringing the Toowoomba form to Brisbane successfully - not many do that so early in their careers...

Hope everyone had a good day,

Sven

I only had 2 bets today one was a nice E/W pickup on Dezigna in NZ and the other was a loss on Xlerate who I won't be in any hurry to back again.
