Just seeing if there is any interest in a comp. over the brisbane carnival starting next week (don't know if thats when it officially starts i just saw a group 2 race is on)

Anyway, rules of the comp:
$100 per week
Can be bet win, place, e/w or all up. No tris, first 4's, quinella's etc.
Bets must be in $5 increments with $10 min. on the race, ($10 win, $10 place or $5 e/w) & $10 min all up.
Must be bet in Brisbane.
Now to make it a little different, you dont have to bet every week, and your money will be banked, you can also bet with your bank of winnings.

Whoever is interested just post your tips end of the week. Bets must be in 30min before the jump of the race your betting in.

Thanks....Brett

Actually anyone whos interested can they post up in here they want to be in the comp so ill make a list of whos in it and the $100 they have.
Also if u have a win on for example race 1 of the day, u can bet with your winnings in any race after that. So the winning money is available straight away.
cheers...

Just a thought, what would u guys prefer?? That u can use the winning money straight away or you can only bet with what u have in you bank at the start of the day?? JUst to make it more even for ppl that cant be at their computer during the day that might be at work or going to the track/pub etc.

count me in and yes to fair to everyone i think it would be better bet the 100 on the day only the only other thing is that if your betting during the day whos to say that you might start very well but then have a shocker there after. ???? but id vote for 100 a day and thats it plus makes your job easier too lol

I'm in.

Nothing i stopping people having an all-up bet, If they want to improve their bank with an odds on pop in the first then the only change will be an all up bet rather than submitting a bet once it has saluted.

Definately 100 per day if you ask me.

So basically you dont want to be able to bet with your winnings?? I thought it would give the option whether or not ppl would want to skip a day and save the $$ for the following week, to try different tactics and also reward ppl that do have a win by giving them more to bet with the following week?? Just trying to mix it up a bit from the std $100 a week comps that we always have (not that there is anything wrong with them:) )

100 per day would be the easiest and fairest way to do it.

i'm in.

i think you still could save your money from one week and have 200 the next. but whatever your bank is at the start of the next week, that is what you have to play with.......

just an idea

I disagree here you should be able to go win or place on whatever legs you go for simply because in this comp you are al???ed to bet place only aswell so it wouldn't make alot of sense to limit an all up to win only. Just my opinion anyway.

Ok, ive thought about this for a long time(about 3 min.) and finally come to a decision.

Final rules will be as fol???s:
*Same as before Win, place, E/W & All up betting al???ed(win or place).
*Min $10 per bet.
*$100 per week will be put in each persons bank.
*You dont have to bet each week, if you would prefer to double up for the fol???ing week or not spend the whole $100 on a certain saturday you can save it for whenever you want to spend it.
*Any winnings are added to your bank and you can bet with them the fol???ing week if you choose to.
*However much you have in your bank at the start of the day is how much you can bet with and all bets must be in 30min prior to first race.

The reason i wanted to al??? ppl to choose to bet every week is it awards the ppl who have a bet and win by having more money the next week, also i figure if your al???ed to bet with your winning it can make it a closer competition where if one person pulls a huge all-up or roughie, they could b??? it the next week having a huge go on another horse or someone else could have a big bet with their winnings and catch up.

Anyway its just a bit of fun ppl, and one thing to note the comp will start this saturday but wont include this mondays racing.

Ill start a new thread tomorrow sometime for the actual tipping and anyone that still wants to be in the comp. just post here and ill add ur name to the list.

Sportz: are u gunna have a go or are u sitting out till spring??
