Race 1.
The full bro to Ice Chariot is interesting,,Torino Luge...wobbled all over the show last start but theres no doubting
he can run...Plachutta is driving me crazy,,,missed the kick and never really got interested last start,,,she did finish off
ok though and Colless still makes her an atractive proposition as shes hes only runner of the day i can see winning....
Shouldawon when he finally got clear flew home at the Gold Coast and could be a bolter.....Analign is doing everything ok has the ugly barrier though.. and Princess Norma with the blinkers might improve..
Alot of these horses are still learning so they like to find their feet which makes it hard to do a speed map...i think from the wide barrier Analign might try and cross them..Mason likes to lead on them...i'm also thinking Colless will want to be handy on Pachutta after his poor start on her last time he might dig her up alittle out of the barriers..
These look the two id rather be on...Plachutta and Analign...but i'd want a price there somewhere or i'll be watching..
Torino Luge looks to have raw talent but will be no value at all...

Race 2
I really Like Skyleda ....he'll need the speed on and i'm hoping Kapstein pressures Leader Of The Pack up front...I'm not a huge fan of Stewart on these types of horses but if hes learnt anything over his High Academy butchering its to give them some friggn room...I could get e/ws maybe...Pappapo has had a few chances but this does look a good race for him...
i'm not convinced about Rampant Lion as a stayer but he does seem to plug away ..(strange for a Lion Hunter) and King Latarmiss better in the wet but still should be competitive in this...
...Sunday Adieu is interesting and deserves a close watch..
Skyleda,,,,,, Pappapo,Leader Of The Pack, King Latarimiss........

Race 3.
Succeeding rates very well here..Amber Lodge looks to good for them on paper but she raced very flat last start and Succeeding went straight past her...Bucklies of getting the $6 tomorrow but i have her rated at $4.20 ....
Doubtfull Choice looks the leader and will give a good sight at odds,,has been racing consistently and this isnt a hard race ...a couple of roughies if theres no value around and you want to have a play..Classic Alabi was very impressive last start and A Sir La good 2nd up and looks to be targeting this race...
Succeeding for the win....Doubtfull choice worth a thought...exacta ?

Race 4.
How open is this race.....British Storm is in good form and from the good barrier should be full of running late..will just have to find some room among the stampede..,,Phoenix Express is interesting,,obviously has some querks but has been competitive against better than this lot....Segurra the other that rates high in very open affair..alot of ordinary horses here ..i'll be watching betting on this Phoenix Express and keeping my ear to the ground,,,,,,British storm and Segurra both worth a look

Race 5.
Kantoshi Millions is trialling very well,,,should race forward here and will be in it for along way...another open race ..I'd expect a huge improvement in Court Adjourned with JD back on board..hard to imagine but this horse with any luck wins the eyeline a few starts ago and isnt in the market against these class 2 to 6 hackers....Tabinga Lass with no weight will be on the speed and in her 50th start it would be nice to see her run well.....Nediyms Image with good northern form is a big chance...
I'll be looking at Kantoshi and Court Adjourned both at odds

Race 6.
What a race ...Socialist,The Jackal,Sequetrate,Bold Reason,Mosso, Coccolare...box these and you might be ok...
Socialst was super last start and if he gets the gaps again he'll be to good again..Sequestrate raced too forward last start but did battle on well,if hes ridden quieter he'll be with Socialist in the run and has got as good finishing burst..
If The Jackal can setttle alitte from the inside he'll be tough to catch,,hes a very tough horse and will like the good ground...
Bold reason i'd prefer from a better barrier but hes been unlucky of late and Mosso with the Blinkers is risky as he might race to forward and will need luck from that barrier...
Socialist . the Jackal ..Sequestrate...field

Race 7.
Consular in his last race...we'll be on as usual ,,,i think maybe Devil could spoil the party ...did well in the crazy speed battle last start to finish where he did...if he just takes the sit off Appertain he could pinch it on straightening..
i give him a good chance here and if hes double figure odds ,, i'll have something of my own on him..and a exacta with the grandpa..
sad to see the old boy go ,,has been fantastic for me and the boys..(especially one of them) before La Montagna in the straddie hes responsible for my biggest every win collect..
Good Luck to all the connections and i hope the old boy gets through it safely ...

Race 8.
Tropical Express is right in this race..should get the good run just off the speed and will have first crack at them..i have a few bookers in this race..Circus Maximus,Lust for Victory and Sir Success..but i'd like to see them in something easier than this..Step Right In heads the ratings and will find this a walk in the park compared to his last few runs...wouldve liked to see more from him but i still think he has these covered...back Tropical express aswell...and go the exacta..

A very hard day at the Farm tomorrow....i was dissapointed with last weeks result considering i was around the mark in 6 of the races ,,just one of those days...

Best bets . Succeeding. Socialist, SkyLeda, Step Right In (go the s'sss'ss)
Best e/w's,, Kantoshi Millions,
Best Roughies, Bold Reason, Circus Maximus

other states
Sydney
Noriel, Gunfire Mesiah
Melbourne
Chiack, Bel donaro,Gold Attire
Adelaide
Terravue, Raja Dancer
Belmont
OhMio, Kim Invader

I amnot betting much at all today just looks to haqrd to sought out I will be looking for some roughies to have something e/w on all day and have a couple of trebles around the country.

Race 1: Shouldawon looks like it is appropriately named you would have to feel uneasy naming your horse that wouldn't? bad karma and all. Plachutta has to be given a chance but I am stuffed if I would be putting much on it, Princess Norma and Torino Luge look to be chances aswell.

Race 2: Not an easy race this one I am tempted to put Sunday Adieu on top here I really think this horse has a little bit of ability the run in the oaks was very good didn't see the win last start but a win is a win, Skyleda is a must include looks ready to win and given some luck it should after the I wouldn't leave out Pay Me & Pappapo.

Race 3: I just thought that Amber Lodge out to her distance today from a good barrier with Byrne on board what more could you want I will be very surprised if she isn't fighting out the finish, Succeeding whilst it was a great run last start it doesn't like to win often time will tell I guess there I also thought that Perette might be a chance at decent odds.

Race 4: Hard race good luck if your having a bet here you will need it, British Storm has to be given a chance racing very consistently also thought I would give a bit of a hope to Sansaba looks like it could be running on here.

Race 5: Another nightmare of a race unfortunately it is the 1st leg of the treble so I have to actually try and pick a couple here, I like Taabinga Lass this is a fairly week sort of race and if she can get in somewhere decent then she is a big chance here Court Adjourned looks to have to be a chance this isn't a tough race but is he just a gunna Rosielee Miss looks a bit of a chance aswell been running well up here just not sure how good that is I also thought Westgate hard a bit of a chance aswell.

Race 6: Another toughie this treble might be worth something today if you can land it I have about eight horses marked here and I am stuffed if I can sort them out right now. Socialist, Dawn's Pride, Sequestrate, Charvicky, Fair Game & Digging Deep all have chances among others I can't get excited about Rasmussen every man and his *** will be on it today it is likely to start a shortish fav and probably rightfully so but it will be without me, to try and narrow my list down maybe look for some value between Dawn's Pride and Charvicky.

Race 7: I like 3 horses here and am happy to take one on the one I am happy to take on is Mitanni just doesn't run out a mile IMO and doesn't settle enough to do it toss up between Devil, Consular & Joy of Flight and wouldn't be surprised if the later might blow them away fresh I always thought she liked a dry track better and she will enjoy racing up here, I think Devil will go close and you can't leave out Consular.

Race 8: I like a couple here Tropical Express has to be a chance got to far back at sunny coast to be any chance at all on a day when you had to be within the 1st 5 straightening, I also don't mind Roman Squire the run behind Bikkie Tin Blues reads alright now and does seem to hit the line hard most of the time after that is it hard to leave out Lust for Victory and Regimental.

Watch out for Devil. He is racing in Bar plates on the front feet today for those who don't know [why he won't win].

Percer's pearler for the day:

Quote:
"What’s the reason why Consular “cannot win”, Stupid, I hear you scream? Well he’s having start number 85 tomorrow and he has never been able to string together two Brisbane wins – at either of Eagle Farm or Doomben – since he had his first start at Doomben on 25/6/2003. But that is the good news, the bad news is his photo is on the front page of the Sportsman – and that is so often the kiss of death! Everyone in the Consular camp dotted their I’s and crossed their T’s, but sadly forgot to bribe the Sportsman by posting a brown paper bag saying “please do not put Consular’s photo on the front page on your July 21 edition. The serial numbers of these notes have not been recorded ”! End quote. :-))

Watch out for a possible big run by Bohemian Dancer [R7] at big odds. Purser's going for 3 long shots in a row after scoring very nice odds on Socialist and again last week on Western Embrace [$18.90w stab]. First up from a spell and at this distance might produce the goods. Worth an ew and Colless and Byrne have good chances to go home winless today considering their rides [Purcer].

Have a good day.

Really tough day so looking to snare a longshot.

1, 6 Whatdoumeanbythat, $26, finished second to the favourite in this race last start (Torino Luge) and meets that horse 3.5kgs better.

4,1 Flying Kwila, $31, comes to town after winning 2 from 3 this prep in the outback. Has been competitive in town before and could surprise.

4,24 Only Heresae, $17, Narrowly beaten at Toowoomba last start after a wide run. Drawn well and likes the trip.

5, 18 Air Specific, $21, Fitter for 2 runs back. Last start winner with no weight after the claim.

Each way or into the multiples.

Cheers

Mitanni has Heart bar Plates on the front as well.
With Devil wearing them as well it takes care of about 30-40% of the market. I may have to have a lash at the rest to take out a certain amount.

Hey Crash, where do you get your Gear changes from?
The site I use has Devil with Glue on Shoes off, with no mention of Bar plates.
They are pretty good as a rule.

Sorry, but the admin. here will not allow me to tell you that but it is an accurate site. It was Purser who said Devil had that gear change so he got it wrong, but not about it [or Consular] losing. No 3 long-shots in a row for him either.

Crash, no worries, but could you give us a clue perhaps? I am keen to get a couple of places to check on Gear changes as sometimes the info is a bit scanty.

Mitanni nearly got away with that even with the dreaded BP's on. I would suggest not backing him until he is racing without them, as he will be in the market on the strength of that run and with the BP's he will be no good thing.

Race 3 wasnt classic alibi a great run, definitely one to watch if it can get some clear running next time.

Race 8 Roman Squire did well to finish so close to them, looked a mile to far back and behind way to many horses to get anywhere near the front. Same deal, if it can get some clear running and at Eagle farm again will be very hard to keep out.

That's because I actually remembered to back them this week, crash.
