Hi loadandlockett, agree that Eastern Standard will be hard to beat. Don't think covered by earstern state tabs. For those betting in the west, suggest you chuck into the multiples - N2 Slideaway, N4 Face Your Fears, N5 Chinese Arithmetic & N11 Noble Cavalier.
Would be nice to see Prince Of Pop do well, but big ask carrying (58.5) 6.5kgs over limit, over the 1600M.

Lawmaker! Having 3rd start after an injury enforced 4 year break. 4 wins from only 11 starts. Even as an 8yo, could go on with it, if remains injury free.

Round 2 Eastern Standard Vs Lawmaker this Sat at Kalgoorlie in the Boulder Cup. Handicapped on level weights again, up in distance from 1600 to 1750 (should suit Lawmaker). Who will win? Another deadheat ?
Something to tip them both out??

The owners of Lawmaker will collect the $100,000 Triple Nugget Bonus if he can win the Kalgoorlie Cup on Saturday. The bonus is for winning the Coolgardie, Boulder and Kalgoorlie cups.
Paul Harvey rode Lawmaker to win the Belmont Classic (2400m) and WA St Leger (2600m) in 1998.
Apparently Harvey after these wins, declared that Lawmaker would win a Caulfield Cup.
Connections approached Lee Freedman to prepare him for an eastern States' stint but then Lawmaker severely injured a tendon.
Four years later and with the help of good old emu oil, Lawmaker is continuing on where he left off. Amazing!

Thanks for the tip last weekend, Sandgroper. I'll be backing up again this Saturday.
Do you think they might argue about the bonus - after all, he'll only have 2 and a half wins not three straight!

Let's hope he wins first Rain Lover, then they can quibble as much as they like.
Kalgoorlie Cup this Sat.
No. 3 Lawmaker, dangers no. 6 Ohio & no. 1 Perfect Minx.

I see that loadandlockett has also tipped Lawmaker (in another thread), Perth Placegetter. Have my fingers crossed! What an amazing comeback by Lawmaker after such a huge break! Can't recall anything similar in recent times.

Agree Rain Lover, a champion effort to get up after racing wide and receiving a bit of check at a crucial stage. What a great story indeed!
And a terrific ride from Jeff Noske. Was he fined for that little bit of joy shown just on / after the winning post, hope not.
Let’s not forget the effort of the trainer Ruth Banner, who at 71 years young, becomes the first female trainer to prepare winners in the Coolgardie, Boulder & Kalgoorlie Cups.
Think Ohio ran a good race to finish 5th. Perfect Minx (finished midfield) looks to have lost the zest.
Hope you both had a good win on Lawmaker Rain Lover & loadandlockett, and anybody else out there that followed this thread.
Managed the exacta myself, missed out on the tri, where’s the NSW Tab when you want them (i.e. flexi bet tri)!
Every chance Honami at Belmont yesterday, loadandlockett. This horse has been most disappointing last couple of campaigns. On or near his best, would have won yesterday with a leg in the air!
