View Full Version : Sandgroper ratings - weekly selections posting

I’ve been posting limited selections for Perth races on this forum, for some months now.

These selections are based on my own rating system, which I developed a number of years back. And like a lot of systems, has been subject to ongoing fine-tuning, in an effort to improve consistency and increase strike rates.

Hopefully I am providing some positive assistance and value to those searching for a profit, and who wager on Perth races.

So I am going to pose a simple question to forum members and more specifically those many regular “casual” viewers that no doubt frequent Pro-Punter. To the latter group, join up & participate, or at least (if you are getting value from forum contributions), give some encouragement to the contributors now and again!

Anyway, to the point of this posting.

This is not an ego thing. Like many people juggling with time & priorities, the fewer the distractions the better. I’m trying to gauge if there is enough genuine interest out there to continue posting Sandgroper Perth ratings.

Not looking for any huge response, hopefully at least Paddy will respond in the positive. (Sorry to put you on the spot Paddy!)

So, is there anyone out there getting value from the weekly Sandgroper rated selections?

Sandgroper,

I always refer to your ratings before betting in the west.

Sandgroper, you’re not putting me on the spot. Find lots a value in your selections and advice.

Place strike rate of around 48% (hence your aka – Perth Placegetter), win strike rate around 21%. I know! I know! Strike rate is only part of the equation.

I particularly find value with your selections as anchors in the multiples. Struck many a good return! (only enough to cover my other losses, mr taxman)

Also have a lot of fun with your Sandgroper Sneaks, some good value place returns, and some good price winners.

I try and encourage and congratulate (where appropriate) all forums contributors, where I can, and do agree with you - all those non members out there, join up it is easy and at the very least, give some encouragement to those who do contribute value, to what I consider to be a very knowledgeable, helpful, dignified and friendly forum.

Keep em coming, Perth Placegetter! (please)

Thanks for the positive feedback trench digger & Paddy. Also had interest shown via another thread.

No need for anymore feedback, Sandgroper postings will continue!

Sandgroper,

There are many in "the east" who follow your ratings and in fact all postings with considerable interest, as there is not a lot of information available here on Perth racing.

I myself find many aspects of your postings invaluable and always refer to them for at least consideration before parting with the cold hard cash!

Keep up the good work.

Keep at it, please, Groper. You're doing much better than me, Ernie, Lark Hill Spy and the other dud tipsters at TABForm.

Hi Sandgroper and all,

I'm definitely one of those who has benefited greatly from all the tips/staking and other advice on this forum. I think its great that you guys take the time to share your knowledge. Although not a big punter by any means you have allowed me to have a couple of 'cold uns' on a Saturday purchased by the bookie.... Thanks again
