Every once in a while a horse comes along that you just know is going to win. I know that every runner has some chance no matter how minute etc etc but if NORTHERLY does not win the Craiglee tomorrow I will give up beer, punting, sex and ... oh I don't do anything else .... for a month.
His run in a very high quality Memsie against the slow rail was enormous. The rest of them in the Craiglee were looking at Sports' arse in the Liston - an 8YO with no 1400m form.
If he is 6/4 or better its the bet of the year. He runs for Childs too.

GET ON BOYS.

Unless I'm mistaken Northerly is running without blinkers again tomorrow - given the last couple of runs I would be a bit cautious about taking the short odds. Could be some value in a couple of the other runners. The ever reliable "horse with the best name system" likes MayTheHorseBeWithU but I reckon there are a couple of better chances if Northerly enjoys looking at the scenery instead of racing!

Anyway best of luck otherwise you could have a very boring month ahead!

Let's remember that Northerly has only finished a total of LESS that 3 lengths from the winner in both starts this preparation.

I just don't see him winning tomorrow though and 6/4 is no value. Don't want to put the moccas on him or you hammers and I hope we see his best tomorrow, but I have not been impressed with the way he travels in his races this time in.

Until we see his best it might be an idea to find something that is in better form and have a saver on Northerly.

OH...and if he wins tomorrow - I'll give up sex, beer, and punting for a month as I can't remember the last time I "got lucky" , had a win, or had a cold icy beer that wasn't watered down!

Congratulations Hammers!!!

Well Done - you're a lucky man this month!

I stand by my bet.

1. No punting for 30 days - Have to get my fix with the competition.

2. No sex

3. No beer - have to make do with Irish Coffees.

Northerly certainly settled much better today but I think will definitely improve lengths on the run with blinkers. They rode him differently today as I don't think they wanted to get crowded again.

Good Work Hammers.

Thanks EI,

I'm about to give the missus the good news.
I've got to admit at the 300 I thought Le Zagaletta was going to present me with a month of hell on earth.
