I dont have a prefered bet type. What i do is back the best bets as posted for a win and take quinella's or exacta's depending on the strength of the info. That way if the they get rolled i have a chance at a return.

Pure technical for best odds most of the time it is the win bet. The % take out for exotics is terrible and the place bet is mostly less than 1/3 rd.
