Well everyone - I am only new to this whole punting thing and a friend of mine come across a web page and he claimed it was pretty good and one of the other web sites i registered with had a lot of talk about the Flemington track - so i asked my mate to see if i could get "figures" from the last Flemington race and he obliged.

Melbourne
Flemington Track
Saturday 4 10 08
10 Races (only 6 met a criteria for fair bets apparently and only 1 race met the total "bet" criteria. but i got him to run the numbers any way)
the results were
8 firsts out of 10 races
23 place positions
7 quinella's
4 trifecta's

as i am only new to the racing game (been playing with it since 3 months ago) i was wondering if this is the average that people are getting with there betting or are good punters getting better results and if so can anyone share there "secrets" with me.

or if these results are not that good, as he did miss a lot in the trifecta's

have a great day
Phil

It depends on your profit or loss from those four trifectas.

You need to work out how much it would have cost to put every trifecta on and then compare that to the winnings.
