Hi everyone, I'm new here.

I have been reading through the forum over that last few weeks, and have picked up a few tips.

I'd like to thank those people first..

I'm also very new to the hole horse racing thing... Up until now I was a once or twice a year better..

but for a number of reasions have started to make the move into it on a regular thing..
so I'm looking into finding a system that is going to work. when I say find, I mean put together one of my own with the help and tips from those that have been there and done it all before.

I have also looked at a number of websites that have helped...

My number one rule.. not to place a bet for the next year...

this is to give me time to find and test a system...

I have a lot of questions, a lot of then very basic and simple...

but at this time can i ask..

first I've been over the racing forms and have come up with this..

horses start the racing at age 2 years and go till about 6 years??
this means a horse has a racing life of about 4 years...
have I got this right??

also, what states do horses race in??
what I mean is. if a horse races in Vic, dose it go interstate to race as well???

I'm looking at a system where I only keep records of races in vic.
so would like to know if i need interstate records for history..

eg, a horses last 5 races...

thanks for the help....

a late note... where on the net can I find the results of each days races, showing the times for each race, as well as placings, weights, etc.... have been to this site, but it dose not give all I want..
