A hurdle Paddy  Picking flat winners is hard enough, I'll need to sharpen the old pencil!

I have enough trouble picking a horse to stay on it's feet, let alone win the race

Thought Danestorm was going to be in this race?

Was not enough time to qualify & trainer under microscope for a high bicarb reading for Danestorm back in early May.

And a pat on the back to trainer John Leek, job well done with the lightly raced TEAM HERITAGE.

Many have an aversion to punting on jumps because if the horse falls you've done your dough cold.
You would never have got $3.20 about Team Heritage if it were a flat race, would have been around $2.20 or less.
That's why I allow for the fear factor and factor it into the price.
You're really in the same boat if your horse gets lost at the start or squeezed at a vital moment in a flat race.
I like the fact that horses have 3000 plus metres to get a position and they are usually given every chance if they're schooled well and good enough.

See your point Chrome Prince, but must admit I tend to watch for the spectacle without any serious punting, hoping all horses / jocks return to scale unhurt of course.
