Have you ever thought it must be possible to win on AFL football betting because of the large number of emotional bets placed?

Well you can!

Associate Professor Stephen Clarke of Swinburne University Department of Sports Statistics has successfully used computer modelling to do exactly that.

Professor Clarke's numerous media appearances explaining the virtue of using computers to crunch statistics in sports betting have earned him the reputation as Australia's leading guru in the field.

AFL betting packages using Professor Clarke's information are now available on our Smartgambler website at http://www.smartgambler.com.au/afl/football_betting_package.html

Be quick for Early Bird special and save $88.

When a computer can beat me at tipping, that'll be the day!

Thats right. No computer can beat me. Anyway you got to support your team. I don't want any computer telling me not to back my team. I'm no traiter. When I bet on the footy I always back the maggies.

The reaction of you guys shows why it is possible to win consistently on the footy.

The emotional money comes on and distorts the odds, which can then be exploited.

The Swinburne Uni computer is rarely beaten in tipping winners, but so far I have NEVER seen it beaten at tipping margins over a whole season.

So who knows, it could be interesting, depending on the price of the package compared to how much you bet. I've heard a lot of smart money is bet on the football.

Your not really using a real proffessor. Now are you for your footy? Come clean. Everyone invents names. There was some so called proffessor with his horse biorythms advertising every week. I suppose you expect me to believe Doctor Turf is a doctor?

Rubber Duck,
You can believe the nine pages of media articles about Professor Clarke, his c.v. and his photo on Smartgambler are forgeries if you want, it's up to you.

Some people choose to believe that the moon landing was faked. If you think it's rubbish then don't buy it; better odds for the people who do. It's not compulsory.

But if you're going to criticise attempts by other people to bet scientifically to win, you should seriously consider doing some research first.
