I have been using a system based on trials for the last 20 odd years and i am showing a profit.
It is very simple and involves a database of horses that have won trials in 2.4 or better at official Victorian trials as published in National trot guide. I also receive results direct from some clubs.
To paraphrase it all i do is give the horses that qualify 3 starts or 1 month to win or they are dropped from my data base my staking is just $1 each way.

Just to clear up for whoever may be interested,is that 3 starts or a month whichever comes first?
Or a maximum of a month?

Give it 3 starts or a month which ever comes first, i find that if they win at the first start i Back them the next 2 starts or balance of the month . I have a program which was made for me and they actually go off the recent data section after a month but stay in my data base.My data base curently would have close to a 1000 horses in it.
I will if any interest post a few tips off the system on this site so people can check them out.

Brian,

Have a shot at this one:

RULES
Horse must have greater than 50% win Strike rate.
Horse must be top ranked by average prizemoney per start in the race.

Sure it throws up shorties, but it also throws up some nice winners at $10 plus in the big races (finals etc).

The great thing is that it also has patches of parlay placegetters.

CHROME PRINCE.
With my system i tend to back mainly on country events and get a lot of first start winners.
Will keep an eye on your system.
cheers
