another question for the pros

Can't count myself as a pro yet, but I do believe I'm on the way!!
My question is what do you blokes do when holidays come along??? I'm away for a couple of months from 23rd April and have been trying to find ways to continue my investments while away, technically because of the internet it is possible BUT VERY difficult, do you just wipe it and pretend those races never existed or what???

I'm not a pro, but here's my advice.

Enjoy your holiday and forget racing altogether, comeback refreshed and with a new outlook.
When you return, if you have a few systems, go back and look at the form before looking at the results.
If you would have won, say "well I had a bloody nice holiday!"
If you would have lost, you can look at where you went wrong and be satisfied that you saved money and had a nice break.

Enjoy yourself above all ;)

I had a break last November and never looked at a race until I returned.
I came back better than ever.

I totally concur with The 'Prince. Wise advice. To expand slightly, you need to take a mini break every 6 months or so and have a couple of weeks off annually to recharge the batteries and reflect. I can't impress enough the importance of taking time out mentally. Gambling, investing or whatever you want to call it is a stressful way to make a living full of highs and lows no matter how clinical and dispassionate you aim to be. You become mentally stale and this is when you make mistakes. On the other hand it is also a very honest way to earn a crust. (You can't cheat anyone and if you don't perform, you're unemployed. Pretty simple really).

Analyse your performance (punting, I mean) after your holiday. You don't need the stress of worrying about adding/deleting filters, etc when you're meant to be "entertaining" hot chicks in string bikinis. Do this after you get back and you'll be champing at the bit. If you get back!

Enjoy your holiday, get heaps of sun, drink and be merry. LOL in the future.

PS Don't worrying about data collection, blah, blah. You can download it when you get back.

Well at the age of 53 I am a very lucky bloke as I have the hot chick in string bikinis permanently!! (well she's not in Bikinis permanently LOL) in fact that's were off too, her parents place in the Philippines!

As far as my question is concerned, yes I was starting to think along those lines, just forget about racing for 2 months, there might be a few wet tracks around anyway at that time of year.

I think it depends on your methods....i personally have my own stable of runners so i can just evaluate that race or races where they are running for that day no matter where i am...i'm going to the states soon so i'll make sure my Laptop is with me because even on holidays you can still find some time to place a bet..especially because of the time difference...
i had a day off the other Sunday and ignored more bookers ...2 out of 3 won and paid nicely...the tri actually paid $3000 ....so i'm alitle wary of ignoring them now..

Glad to see another smart man that's married a Filipina,best wives in the world, and boy don't they keep you young (I'm the one that has to complain of a headache).
Last year I sent my mob (Wife and 2 kids) to the Phils while I stayed home and punted (just couldn't leave it).
The worst 3 weeks I've had in the last 10 years, made a quid but was totally miserable.
The end of this year come hell or high water we are all going over for a month and stuff the punt.
My advise is obvious, GO GO GO.

My Wife comes from IMUS, CAVITE, just outside of Manila, but I met her in a filipino food shop in fairfield (near where I live).
Good joke about the races in Manila being honest, NOW THAT would be the best system in the world, get in with the right crowd that are in the know.
