Seeing a few people have offered up some mini systems, I thought I'd add one. It can be used for all flat races where horses have had at least 5 starts. Be warned though - some weeks its like a goldmine, other weeks its terrible - seems to be very inconsistent.
Here's how it works:
Step 1 - Calculate Win Conversion Factor - By that I mean the no of wins a horse achieves for every place. ie 4 wins, 10 places = 4/10 = 0.4. The horse with the highest ratio is the selection provided it meets the following criteria:
i) Minimum Win Conversion Factor of 0.4
ii) Career place % of 45% or more.
iii) Finished in top 6 last start and within 4.5 lengths of the leader.
That's it!!
Simple enough - but throws up plenty of winners over time - just not consistent.
