With all the money the NSWTAB makes why can't they get a website that works properly? In the last three weeks the site has failed for significant periods of time at least twice (and several shorter failures) - today it has not been working at all for odds, results, etc. The other TABs (even the smaller ones like WATAB) manage to keep their sites working 99.9% of the time - why can't NSW?
Sorry - just had to get that off my chest!

At this rate they (The NSW TAB site) will catch up and be as unreliable as the Vic TAB site.
The Vic site has got to be the worste site I know for reliability and features for that matter.
A long way to go.....

That raises the question of what is everyones favourite TAB web site and why?
My picks are:
WATAB (ozbet.com.au) - the main reason being you can cancel your bets up to a minute after you placed them - good when you place your bet then there is a delay and the odds go through the floor. Definitely the best of the Supertab linked sites.
QLD TAB - their internet betting is good - you can save your preferences and even turn off the betting confirmation (good if you want to get those last second bets on quickly). Also the display of todays racing is excellent - you can see at a glance the race time for all races and the results of the ones that have finished.

Ahh, its up!
Must have a look at the WA site, being able to cancel your bet would be great, I keep on having to ring up to do that.
I must say, I like the idea behind the 'Flexi-Bet' system the NSW TAB offers where you can place a large multiple trifecta for a fixed cost which then only pays out the percentage of the dividend you placed. Great idea.
What would be really good is the flexi-bet option on Quaddies.
How have Punters found the new Vic betting engine ? I have had some funny little problems with it in Express Mode

The VicTAB site is quite good but has it's problems for sure.
1. Still problems when you try to get results...half the time it says "meetings currently unavailable"
2. You have to get out of your login in a NEW window to look for results.
3. The speed of the site updating odds, actually placing your bet is quite slow...in fact way too slow.
4. My major gripe though, and has been for a good 20 years is this -
When 3UZ (sport 927) give tote updates, they are always right up to date. In fact this is not possible given that the teletext pools have not yet updated, nor the internet. This leads me to believe that they get preferential treatment. Obviously they are on a faster system than the average punters and TAB outlets. This is grossly unfair.
Not to mention that TAB customer service tells me that this is not the case, and yet it happens time after time.
For example my teletext screen shows a win pool of say $28,000 and the favourite showing $2.80...but listening to 3UZ they say their pool is say $36,000 with the favourite showing $2.40, then about 10-15 seconds later my pool updates.- something is wrong here and nobody will admit it!

Access both WATab & NSWTab Internet betting sites, both have their
good points. Often have open side by side to check any “overs” that one
site might be offering over the other. Utilise Flexi-bet, can snag a
percentage of a good tri / first 4 without a huge outlay. Big pain with the WATab is the sometime dramatic change (normally downward) in the final dividends to that shown (even minutes) after race closure. NSWTab is normally close or spot on.
If you are into betting on the NZ races on Saturday morning, try this link http://www.tab.co.nz/racing_world.cfm There resident tipster “Budgie” is often on the mark, and they also have free form guide (PDF) for download.
The ratings offered by the QLDTab are also useful in the quest for a profit.

If were getting onto the subject of Tipsters, the 2KY Late Mail posted on the NSW TAB site is pretty good too.
I sometimes use their top 3 or 4 selections plus one of my own on Daily Doubles (4 into 4) and ussually land 3 out of 4 of them. Some pay well over the $100 mark
