I like VERY simple methods that, without any refining either show a profit or at least break even. An old method revisited is simply to take the first "last start winner" (this time in) working down from TAB no1. My limited records show around 25% S/R overall this is without any tweaking at all , and getting close to break even (using maxidivi)

I invite fellow systemites for constuctive comments!!

The stats show that it is a good idea to start at TAB No.2 & work down from there because whenever a LSW with TAB No.1 gets up , they dont seem to pay much .

The TAB No.2 & further down tend to reflect a higher dividend , whenever they get up.
If one wasts their selection on No.1, one will often find a higher prices LSW could have been bet on , getting up to win at juicy prices.

Cheers.

if we are discussing provincial racing i would also suggest an age filter, as the older your average type nag gets the less likely it is to string together those 2 or 3 wins in a row.

maybe stick to 3,4 & 5 years olds & also knock the mares on the head.
