Interesting to see how Grey's Inn performs here.....have backed it in the Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup so hoping for a good run....

Mummify beat nothing last start but won the Mackinnon last year so is still performing

Fields of Omagh peaks around this year so watch out for it

Perlin's Underwood win was impressive, still not sure on it

Confectioner had a blistering run in the turnbull after missing the start. Watch for it again

Plastered had a surprisingly good run last start and can only mprove on that

Lachlan River is a genuine Caulfield Cup chance and will get home late

El Segundo will be doing everything to win this, as they won't go into the C Cup if it doesn't win. Very impressive last start, but perhaps not up to the class of these - just

Hollow Bullet hasn't done anything yet this spring but could run a cheeky race as well

Another very open race

Need some advice. Will Free AT Last qualified for CC or Mel Cup by winning the Cranbourne Cup or he still have to do well in this race?

We had a couple of light showers yesterday

Today is fine

Tomorrow chance of showers

Saturday again chance of showers...... but I would imagine any rain we get will be minimal (But this is beautiful Melbourne town !! - if you don't like the weather wait 30 minutes..... LOL !)

I honestly think that Fields of Omagh is almost a special here you can't knock what this horse has done and he can sit up on the pace will handle any conditions aswell. The one that worrys me if he handles the track is Greys Inn he just might be to good for them if he handles it I will take my chances today I think. Confectioner, Perlin & El Segundo are all chances ofcourse I just like the others more.

Chuck I don't disagree with you mate as I said I really really like Fields of Omagh and I am as confident of him winning as I am anything else today Greys Inn is the only one that really worries me.

8 of the last 9 winners of this race have been 5yos. Confectioner's the one. Last start effort was superb - if you watch the tape he and Maybe Diva ran very similar races. He was just one run short of fitness on that occasion, being only third up after a long break. Perlin is the next best - very good win here last start (and obviously if it rains that will assist). Chances to Fields of Omagh and Greys Inn.
