Race 1.
Special Langfur should get the esy lead here and be very hard to run down....battled on well last start..
lord Rupert and Minoa the dangers..
Race 2.
Not really interested here..the 2 and 8 look the obvious...liked the way Bambletye fought on in his trial,,,unintentional had it way easier..
Silent Tornado the likely improver...box these 3.
Race 3
Just the Star is ready now..the claim offsets the weight...looks to good for these...
Race 4
This was a hard race to rate ..i had Sandy River , Hissy Fit and Umatrik all fairly even....will work tris around these 3..
if i get good e/w odds about Umatrik i might have a go...i think Hissy will be short and be fav..
Race 5
ALot of speed up front here...this will suit Bunsen who should have the last crack at them..Naval seal won't have it easy up front like last time...
tough race.
Race 6.
Like Shanambah ...great run last start but did have the a good run..Mesmorizing had all the breaks last start but did hit the line well..
Byrne is the deciding factor here..took on the toppy last start and she got me...but i'll take her on again..this weight will stop her sooner or later..
Race 7.
Always been impressed about Mamaluke and he looks well placed here..good form lines..races well 2nd up..good jock, weight and barrier,,gets all the ticks..
the danger is Stepping and the top 3.
Race 8.
Radar Orielly and Pager to fight this one out...Pager has hit a purple patch and has no weight..Radar sat wide and still boxed on last start..
Bryne again will be the factor,,,but i dont think i'll get value...
Doesnt look an easy day at EF...like Special Langfur, Shanambah and Mamaluke and Just the Star..
got 50% last week so i'll be more than happy with that again..
good luck guys :)

G'day Mav,
Agree that it doesn't look an easy day at EF but we'll see what we can do...
Race 1 - I like Minoa here. Was a dominant win last time and with the alley can just sit off them maybe in 2nd or 3rd getting a nice run. Special Langfuhr was a big run last time at the big odds and did beat Minoa 2 back - the weights favour Minoa here though. Lord Rupert has a great record at the distance, but doesn't win out of turn. A good one for the place.
Race 2 - First babies race in Bris. Always a good sight i find. Never a flash race to bet on obviously. Maybe Brambletye over Unintentional and Voodoo Red Magic.....but i'll just be watching them.
Race 3 - Just the Star should be ready to win one now i'd say (she'd wanna win one soon, or the natives will start to get restless). With the 2 runs back, 3 off for the claimer...everything looks OK for her tomorrow. Racetrack was a good run last time, looking for extra ground and he gets it here (with the big track). Justdane is a rough hope too, with some consistent runs around the Coast and Toowoomba.
Race 4 - Don't have a clue. Hissy Fit was a good win last time, but this is a rise in class. She would have taken some benefit from the run and won't be far off them at the finish. Beamer has good pace, which will help here and can figure with the senior jockey on board. Umatrick can finish it off with some pace on too. Has run well in better races before.
Race 5 - Good race. Agree that theres alot of speed here. I like A Little Naughty. Ran some great races last campaign behind some smart ones and can fire fresh. Free As Air isn't hopeless either, could be there at the finish at long odds. Bunsen is a tough bloke to pick, but he's in with a chance if he puts his best foot forward.
Race 6 - Mesmerising is mine here. Great win last time in inferior class, but obviousy has loads of potential, and with the weight advantage over Star Shiraz, i think she can upset the toppy. Obviously Star Shiraz is class and you can never discount class, but the weight might just get her tomorrow. Shanambah is a nice filly on the rise who can sit on pace, and could easily be in the finish.
Race 7 - Good race again. Doesn't appear to be too much speed. However, i like Video Hits. Has been improving on every run and i just think he's really close to a win. Matey will be on pace and you can't fault his form. No doubt he'll put in a good show, Eagle Farm 1400m is a concern there though. General Sam didn't get all the breaks last time and can go better here with the longer straight.
Race 8 - Pager has really struck form and i see no reason to jump off. No weight, and can jump straight on pace....he'll do me. Riva Rebel has his chance to improve here at big odds, after 2 runs back from a break. St Pirian is a chance also with the good Jock on board, the win rate is starting to be a concern there though.
Will be throwing a few Lachlan River's way in the Yalumba too. Might still be a bit short for him though.
Good day's racing tomorrow, best is probably Minoa with eachway chances to Mesmerising and Video Hits.
Good luck all

I heard the temp is going to be 36 degrees in bris. today. Is that about right ? Anyone up there know if the humidity is also going to be high ?
Might be a bit dodgy for the girls races and especially the pink slipper in a scorcher [?] Star Shiraz from the 8 alley with 60.5kg is probably the lay of the day anywhere, even with Colless on board.

I am only betting in Caulfield today so rather than start another thread just thought I would throw my tips on here.
Race 1: I really like the look of Lightofprosperity here has run some good races in the past in good company and looks like it can handle a wet track if that is the case. I also thought Cargo Cult was a chance aswell could be sitting just off a nice speed might be able to get over the top of them late.
Race 2: Not really interested in this race liked Purple Chocolate a bit but I may just give it a miss on this one.
Race 3: Not a big fan of this one either Jadescent looks hard to beat and it will be short Cianara is another I have a bit of time whether he is ready to do anything today is another thing will have to see how it looks in the yard on the net before I make a decision here doubt I will be betting anyway.
Race 4: Lilando will win this race if he is right he has to much speed and is a class above handles any conditions. If he has a chink I thought Miss Mooney Mooney might have been a chance expect it to take a sit and could finish hard.
Race 5: The track worries me a bit here I thought Rizon was ready to really run a big race but if the track is wet scrap that idea it just doesn't like any type of rain on the track at all. Grey Song might be the hardest to beat has shown a real liking for both the track and the distance in the past and he has the class might be too good for these lot.
Race 6: Fields of Omagh here get on early and often handles the track and the conditions really like the kick he had at the valley last start expect him to settle just off the speed here then just about hit the lead by the time they turn the one he has to watch for is Greys Inn very very good horse not sure about the track or the conditions with him though.
Race 7: Apache Cat E/W here you cannot knock this horse it has done everything it has been asked to do and that win last start was great not to mention that he has already shown he can run the distance.
Race 8: Hard race could give a number of them a chance will depend on how wet the track is. if it is really wet Slow/Heavy Sky Cuddle, Our Smoking Joe and Super Kid all have huge chances. On a dead track Enconsul and Calveen both comeback into calculations Econsuls form to this race does look similar to last year heading into the guineas where he had run a couple of nice races then a put in 1 or 2 bad ones, his 1st up run this prep was a bottler think he will be ready to produce today if conditons suit and Calveen has plenty of ability and if right would not surprise me to see her winning this one.
Race 9: Truly Wicked looked a big hope but if it is worse than dead I think it's chances are over, outside of that don't really like much maybe Deep in the Woods e/w might end up leaving the last race alone.

Race 1: Not to confident but liked Special Langfuhr
Race 2: Anyone got a dart board??
Race 3: Racetrack
Race 4: Hissy Fit
Race 5: Naval Seal
Race 6:Shanambah
Race 7:Can i get that dart board again? Think it could be 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7. But ill have some each way on Video Hits. Thought it got stuck behind a wall of horses last time. Prob couldnt have won it but might have been alot closer to a place at least.
Race 8: Wheel the Lead
Gunna have a little bet on some roughies in Melbourne to i think
MR4 No. 6 Kill The Cat (go you good thing, i got it at $35 last night on fixed odds, its now 17. which wont mean a thing if it doesnt win lol!!)
MR 7 No. 9 Testafiable
and not a roughie but MR 8 No.1 Super Kid
Good luck today evryone!!

Couple of scratchings today have changed my numbers...
In the 5th, replace Free As Air with My Best Tycoon, who could benefit with the senior rider and the speed on up front.
In the 7th, Chasin' Tail the replacement here. Can sit on pace and will benefit from the lack of speed. Has been racing consistently in good races lately.
In the 8th, with St Pirian scratched i'll replace with Wheel The Lead the toppy, who has been putting in some good races lately, and this doesn't appear to be very strong.
Good luck all, and stay cool if your in Brissy

I wouldn't write Star Shiraz off so quickly. The step up to 1400m suits, as does the bigger track at Eagle Farm. Obviously she's classes above them, and Colless is the best jockey in the race. There's only three dangers - 2, 9 and 10 - so if Star Shiraz is offered at anything at or above $3.5 I'd be on.

36 degres was forecast and that might happen in some hotter suburbs but I live on the bayside and it is around 29 degrees at the moment.

Thanks for that Makybe Diva.
Well I'm a bit of a novice re; Brisbane racing but I'm persisting with learning the metro racing up there and I'm improving. It turned out I was dead right about Star Shiraz [big flop] in the Pink Slipper. When I went to bet my selection Fiery Sunset it was scratched, so I went for my 2nd. pick that I thought was set for the race and peaked nicely last week, Star of Asia. With a name like that, I thought it would handle the hot weather just fine :-)

No worries, Crash. Star of Asia and Chasin Tail have been very impressive lately in Bribane and I believe that Mesmerising which finished second in its race will most likely be going to Melbourne next year. Star Shiraz finished fourth in the race after jockey Glen Colless reported that the horse stumbled at the top of the straight where she lost her momentum. Star Shiraz was two lengths off the winner and will still head to Melbourne. I fancied Remmla in the 2yo's and won and paid $26.

Wow what a shocker in Brissie for me :( My first loss here in ???? yonks ..
i knew it was a going to be a hard day but i was way off...thank god for the last which followed my ratings down to about 7th..weird ..but very nice ..
Race 1.
How could you rate that donkey who's been racing around a black stump in picnic land..
Race 2.
No bet here but did play around with a tri...thought that Special offfer has some talent.
Race 3.
Just the star...useless donkey...
Race 4
Another tri race with only 7 runners....close but no cigar for the tri..
Race 5.
Bunsen Honeydew flying again at the end...seems to make a habit of it..
Race 6.
Shanambah ..seemed to have his chance...dissapointing
Race 7.
Mamaeluke...same as above..
Race 8
Wooohoooo a win ..good onya Radar....got the tri a few times and the first 4 1 1/2 times
Result in brissie .. 1 from 6 betting races....loss of 30% which isnt bad considering i only got one home who was favourite..think i'll take that and run..
Sydney
Sky Right (to short for me), Ledger (way shorter than i thought but still had a go and still has alot to learn), Gunfire Mesiah (starting to get costly), Forestreno (always runs on ..getting costly aswell)
wow Sydney 0 for 3,, worse than Brissie ..loss 100%
Adelaide
Tora Tora Tora , Fraaclase both placed but not good enough..
0 for 2 and the figures are copping a hamering.
Werribee
Rokokoco won..but was to short for me...figures
Gold Coast
Agrios,,,dissapointing, He wears the Crown a Win !!!
1 from 1 ...nice little profit of 50%
Belmont
Losses on Sportivo and Maximus minuis ,,
0 for 2 ,, 100% loss
Melbourne
Saved the best for last.
*Strikeline...got to far back,,never in it
*Leica Falcon.. great win ..this horse has something..nice result but i didnt rate Sarara and it cost me the 1st4..very happy anyway.
*Confectioner... I thought the ride sucked..the horse is flying ..
*Red Dazzler.. got smashed..
*Barely A Moment.....woohooo wow what a win..can't beleive i got 20/1 yesterday afternoon...still pinching myself,,,,whish i really unloaded but i only half staked on Friday incase it didnt rain..huge result !! the tri only for a whole but the 1st4 for a 1/4 was huge.....
felt like a genius 20/1 ???
*Crimson Reign... great ride by Beadman. another great result..whish i had a 1st4 happening here...got the tri a few times..but the market had these 3 ontop aswell..but after a day where i struggled i was very happy..
So in summary after a weird and wonderful topsy turvy kinda day..i ended up ahead ..only 20% but i'll take that...i'll take that and run like a Homer screaming woohoo naked through the house....because at one stage before Barely a Moment it looked like disaster ...but i finished strong ..thank god..
love the punt ..
i guess if i have a really good look at myself i probably had to many runners and should of cut down on a few more...especially in Brissie where i wasnt confident at all..but the way i've been arsing it in Brissie how could i stop....not many days where you get such a good result like with BOM and i kind of wasted it by having such shockers in other states..
love the Saturdays ..
sorry if i'm rambling on but at onestage yesterday i almost had the noose ready ..being my biggest outlay ever on a single raceday i was alittle nervous..
Hope you guys had a win or 2..:)
well done Sven with the super subs ,,,whish i had seem those,,
