If anyone misses this race it will not count as a strike against there name mainly because it is a midweek race that alot may not even realise is on.

REWAAYA – brilliant winner only 3 starts big jump in distance but David Hayes is confident she will handle

ISANAMI – great EW value drawn a little wide but has a top jock and goes OK the distance

DOUBTING – trained at Caulfield well drawn and won with authority last start

SERENADE ROSE – Lee Freedman has a big opinion of this filly won last 3 with last 2 over this race distance

Good luck all!

Hi Grey Sapphire. :)

What is your actual tip? For the purpose of this comp, you have to pick just one horse, and one reserve in case of a scratching.

I assume Rewaaya is your tip and Isanami your reserve???

I am not in the comp. But just out of interest i have to disagree that $3 are great odds for rewayaa. She is unders by a mile. Looking towards Doubting, Cayambe, Sydney owner and Assertive Guest.

OK, sorry. If I’m limited to 1 pick I’ll settle for ISANAMI with SERENADE ROSE as my reserve. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the gallops - tennis is more my style - but what do you think of mnemosyne's chances in tomorrows guineas? To me it seems like the $6.50 on offer is value, but my analysis of form probably doesn't go as deep as some of you guys. Would you rate it as one of the top three chances in tomorrows race?

Cheers
Betsy

This is my OPINION on the race:

The sydney fillies have been up too long. Mnemosyne was set to peak in the flight, this isn;t her grand final. Likewise a lot of the other runners are being aimed at the oaks and this is just a stepping stone in there preperation. Those i speak of are hilfa, empress lily, beauty watch and mary marvel. All should run good races but doubt their trainers owuld want them winning. Rewayaa hasn;t beaten anything (i am not saying she can't) and should be about 4.5 against this field. Big watch on the perth filly, shes well bred to stay and has looked promising over in the west.

Freedman said himself serenade rose was the best suited over 1600 out of his two. And she is overs i reckon.

Assertive guest is huge overs, last time i checked was like 100-1 on tab sportsbet. What has she done wrong, one of her legs fall off or something.

Sydney owner i think will run well.

And then we get to my most favoured two:
DOUBTING/CAYAMBE

Anything over 5 for doubting which i will get has snagged me.

Cheers

Hi TS,
I like all the horses that you mention. I can't even pick 5 horses for my Trifecta. Those I like in your list are Doubting, Serenade Rose, Cayambe, Beauty Watch, Empress Lily, Assertive Guest and Mary Marvel.

The disadvantage that I see in them are :
Doubting - Not an impressive win on his last run.
Serenade Rose - Don't know why the odds are at double digit.
Cayambe - Last 50m wasn't that impressive on last run
Beauty Watch - Might get too back in the race.
Empress Lily - Barrier 18.
Assertive Guest - NOt a regular jockey (M. Zahra)
Mary Marvel - NOt a good strike rate although making a lot of ground in her last run (3rd).

Do comment.

Sydney form is impressive here:

Beauty Watch as stated may be better suited on a bigger track but if they scoot wide and come home from behind her stride is about 1.3 times longer than most here.

If the inside barriers are a disadvantage throughout the day I will pot Reewaya and the Hawks filly.

If not may go for Beauty Watch and Memesyesen.

Good luck.

Mav if i am thinking along the same lines as you, generally around the mark.

I might have a tiny nibble on the perth filly. I think she will be going to the oaks but she will run a cheeky race.

Doubting was impressive enough for me last time out. Won by 2.5. lengths last time. Given, a couple of the horses copped interference but i don't think they would have caught her. This is her grand final aswell, wheras a lot of these horses are getting miles in their legs before the oaks.

Serenade rose is a miler i reckon and barrier 10 might not be a disadvantage. I just have this thing about backing a horse with three wins next to its name when you havn;t been on for the prep. It seems that when you jump on thats when they stop winning.

Good day in the end with 2 wins from the 3 races I had my eye on. Line Account ($2.60) and Mnemosyne ($4.90) did the business, however Marnier ran a lackluster 6th in the Cl4 Hcp at Doomben.

Who do you guys like in tomorrows Moe Cup? At the moment Im looking at We Can't Say That and Ascana
