Real Deal,

I would be interested to know how you came to that conclusion. Considering Astronomia was punched right out and was knowhere near as good as serenade rose and she now meets serenade rose 2.5 worse at the weights.

Do you know something i don;t?

Steven King put in the ride of his life to get Serenade Rose home last time the 2 met. Astronomia was ultra impressive in winning easily at caulfield and it is from that run that i am going to make my judgment, I am almost certain that if Astronomia led around the turn in the wakeful (still has me beat wy beadman didn't lead???) then serenade rose-whilst taking ground of astronomia the whole way home would have not caught her.

I believe astronomia lacks the spurt at the end of a race which serenade rose has proved she has but what i like about astronomia is the way she can lead and put together strong sectionals and also finish off a race. Not too sure if you can draw much from her last race in sydney in the Flight stakes but surely finishing a Half length to fashions Afield and getting within a nose of Mnemosyne is a fair effort and is definately closer than serenade rose has gotton to the best fillies around at the moment.

i know you will have plenty of views yourself as to why the result will be the other way round, but after studying astronomias last 4 runs i have come to the conclusion that the reason she has won 1 out of 4 is due to the fact she is looking for more ground and simply does not have the finishing speed to catch horses she gives a start to in the home stretch. And of course the one that she actually did win was done the way i hope Beadman rides her tomorrow, She will take a mountain of running down if leading coming to the 400.

And dont forget she carried 57 kgs to smash that field at caulfield.
