Has anyone read about the suspension of Vagana ? Its one match which is NZ's game against France.

I think it is a disgrace as Deacon is now out for an indefinate amount of time. When will the judiciary get things right as they seem to come out with controversial decisions time after time.

I think the laws should be changed to make the suspension to equal at least the same amount of time the "victim" is out. For instance in this case Deacon now will miss the game against Australia, and I would expect a lot more games for his local club. This is going to cost him match payments, and Vagana gets off with a 1 game suspension because it was "careless" not deliberate.

If they change the rules to the suspension time to ensure players are out until the injured player returns then I believe it may make players a bit more careful in these "careless" tackles.

Anyone else got any thoughts on the issue ?

There always seems to be a different rule for internationals than there is for club games. In any case, as far as this one is concerned, the France game shouldn't count. He was suspended during the tri-nations tournament, so I reckon the suspension should rule him out of NZ's next tri-nations match, simple as that.
