Don't know.

Hey dp, do you know when teams have to name their "super-subs"? Before or after the toss???

Super subs have to be named BEFORE the toss ... stupid rule. Instead of the super sub, they should do what used to happen in ING cup play 12 11 bat and field, that appears fairer IMO. ...wait.. whats that Symonds nearly run out ... again !!

Yeah, seems silly. Australia named Lewis as sub, and that's great if we bat first, but if we had bowled first, it would have made it tricky.

The last 10 overs was a total slaughter. He was hitting sixes at will it seemed.

No, we nearly lost it. :D Brett Lee was back to his bad old days.

Great effort by the kiwis and an exciting game.

I see that Brett Lee is being sent home after apparently suffering from "breathing difficulties". After his effort yesterday, it was us Australian fans that were suffering from the breathing difficulties!!!

I didn't know choking equated to 'breathing difficulties' these days

Thank god Mick Lewis came in and bowled a great final over to save our bacon.

This must be some sick joke. Mitchell Johnson is coming into the team to replace Lee. I just can't believe it. He's obviously been selected on "potential", but he's done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING so far to suggest he should be playing for Australia!!! He averages about 34 with the ball in one day matches at an economy rate of 5.2 an over!!!

For Squirter and co from NZ who wouldn't know anything about him (most Aussies don't know anything about him either), this guy could easily challenge Brett Lee's total of 85 runs conceded last night. Like Lee, he's quite quick, but he can spray them around all over the place. I watched him bowl in a one day game against Tasmania at the Gabba and in one over he struggled to even land the ball on the pitch as he sent down 6 wides, before Ricky Ponting calmly hit the last ball over square leg for 6. I don't think Ponting would have been too impressed by him.

Hey Sportz,

We need another 10 like him in your team....sure ya couldn't russle up a few more, be nice to win a game with Wides and NB's

Who knows? He may come in and take 4-20, but going on what I've seen, the kiwis should be delighted to see him play. That's if he actually makes the team.

cant believe the selectors either. I thought the purpose of a national side was to play your best side and reward those playing well at state level. Thats why i respect kaspa and bichel so much... they just keep getting the numbers each year and selectors keep sh##ing in their faces.... and no i am not a queenslander !!

Well, we went pretty close to managing that. I'd say that was the weakest bowling lineup that's represented Australia for years. The fact that Johnson's figures were actually comparable to a few of the others shows just how bad we were.

Anyway, well done on the win. Looks like you have to score 400 on those small kiwi grounds to be safe!!!
