I am relying on the Quadrellas /Trifectas these days with the occasional odd win bet but my punting day normally starts around 3 PM.
Hell.2- 3 hours work a day suits me .I dont want to over exert myself. Perish the thought.
Cheers.

Hi Darkydog,

I remember once reading about a system that only backed 100/1 [or over I guess] shots for a win. It actually made a yearly profit.
Long time between champagne corks though.

all the best,
Zoe

Hi Zoe.
They should pay me 100/1 to put up with that crap at Cowra in the last.

With Xmas coming up no doubt our old mates ( the system sellers ) will be out touting their new whiz bang /super dooper systems with (wait for it )a recent 100/1 winner.

Do you remember this old ad from the Sportsman .

" They laughed when I started but now I drive a Porsche .
And I,m only 19"

Ah .the good old days.

Cheers.

Oh Darky, it was all true! My father [Greek] bought that system and I've still got the Porche he left me in his will. I'm a tiny bit older now though than 19.

All the best,
Zoe

We did indeed .

My beef was how they **** about in the mounting yard then the barriers with the race never on the advertised time to run / the callers are champing at the bit to cross to another race / and general mayhem all round.
I just found it a bit more annoying today than usual.
Getting cranky in my old age.
Cheers.

Great to hear someone else have a whinge about Ascot. It has to be my most unsuccessful track, I cheered when it went off the map for 12 months. I've done well there this month though (NOT), 24 bets so far and today I cracked it for my first win.
Did they actually change anything during it's down time?

Hi All,

Ascot is my second most successful track of all metro tracks, but I get slaughtered at Belmont. Unfortunately I didn't do so well on Saturday -- perhaps we're just winning each other's money XPT?
