Favourites

Could anyone tell me what the place % is of Fav who pay $1:50 or more for the place. $1:60 or More and $1:70 or more.

I am using a program at the moment which predicts a good place bet and wanted some extra data to confirm..

I dont have data for favourites only but the following is the place % for odds-on place runners. This data covers all gallop meetings with 8 or more runners for 1 year and is based on Tabcorp divs:

$1.10 289/390 = 74%
$1.20 436/640 = 68%
$1.30 654/953 = 68%
$1.40 828/1349= 61%
$1.50 1007/1772= 57%
$1.60 1063/1951= 54%
$1.70 1171/2334= 50%
$1.80 1158/2412= 48%
$1.90 1091/2398= 45%
$2.00 992/2415= 41%

If you work out the return on these (multiply div by the place percentage) it is very consistant at about 15% Loss on turnover (as you would expect).
