With TAB no.1 currently being discussed in the forum I'll resurrect a system previously listed here but with a slight amendment.

Only Handicap races as declared in the form guide, and at least two kilos difference between the topweight and the horse carrying the next highest allocated weight. Last Saturday would have been a very good day, and yesterday also was a winning day with Sandown R2 providing a $14 winner. We'll see how it goes with each-way betting.

Three selections today:
Cranbourne R9 no.1 - Tantralite
Townsville R1 no.1 - Sea Counsel
Townsville R3 no.1 - Estelito

Ah the joy of multiple systems. I see you're tipping Estelito to win here and you're tipping it to lose on the laying number one thread. If you come out ahead on Townsville R3 I'll be impressed. :-)

Yes, the joy of multiple systems. I was hoping it would run second and pay more than $2.00 for the place - that's the best I can hope for if the situation happens again.

I stopped losing after race 2. Does that qualify as 'ahead'? :-[

Townsville R1 no.1 - Sea Counsel
Appropriate name, 'Sea Councel'. Must have been rowing a boat to even get the distance at Townsville yesterday !!

Unfortunately I missed the tip - well done!

I'm altering the rules to the system - no Maiden races and no races where the distance exceeds 1,400 metres, as the difference in weight could easily be more of a disadvantage to the topweight than it would in the shorter races. Using these two additional rules there would have been only three selections over the past two days for no winners, two seconds ($3.10) and a fourth. Anyway, we'll see how it goes today...

Eight selections providing there are no scratchings:
Canterbury R2 - Silk And Money
Sandown R4 - Toulouse Lautrec
Vic Park R2 - Terango
Wagga R6 - Yass Drama
Toowoomba R2 - Show Biz Kid
Toowoomba R3 - Special Dawn
Ascot R5 - Expedition
Ascot R6 - Beauzilla

From yesterday's eight selections there were four winners totalling $11.40, and five placegetters totalling $8.00. Interestingly there were two selections in N.Z., one running second (R9), paying $1.50 and the other (R12) winning, paying $9.00 and $2.10.

Three selections today:
Hobart R3 - Tilghman
Hobart R5 - Chainsaw Charlie
Geraldton R5 - Plea Bargain.
