Hey guys was a bit bored again this morning was thinking what you are all looking at for the 2 big races we have seen about as much a preview to the race as we are going to bar maybe a couple of races.
For the Doncaster I am liking 4 horses probably in this order Johan's Toy, Patezza, Apache Cat and Malcolm. This race is tailor made for Johan's Toy and she is racing better than she ever has he run on the weekend was awesome and it would have just topped her off nicely she is looking for the mile now and will take a hell of alot of beating. Patezza has looked great so far this prep and he lost no admirers on the weekend with another gutsy run in what was certainly not a hard run race he is another who is looking for the mile now. The other 2 I don't like as much as these 2 but they are certainly live chances in the race.
For the Slipper it is hard to say everything is falling apart before we get there I like Casino Prince at the moment he has done nothing wrong a real professional race horse and if he can get a bit of cover in the slipper he is going to be damn hard to hold out, Ofcourse there is I Got Chills and who knows what is going to happen there if anyone can get this horse right for this race it is David Hayes but I for one would be nervous putting alot of money onto this horse. There is a real roughie I also like it is My Ladys Chamber her last run wasn't a bad one in pretty good company aswell and at the moment is going off at around $151 I am going to have a little e/w on her I realise the race maybe above her but you hasn't been blown away yet by some of these so called better types.
Feel free to mention horses you like for anyother races at the moment to I just used these 2 because they are probably of the most interest at this point in time.

For the doncaster (will miss it for the first time in years next month  ), i am still very keen on the big Bentley Biscuit. It was a very gutsy last run, and drops 5 kgs on that providing it qualifies (barring penalties). Paratroopers was just awesome last start - back to its very best, and Mnemosyne's last run was electric. I have never been a desert war fan, and i don't think patezza can make it 2 in a row. I have liked Johan's Toy for a while - had some e/w on it last year, but i don't think it has the class of some of these. Lotteria is yet to show her best this prep, but is still a definite chance after what we saw in the cox and myer last year. Apache Cat is still being overlooked despite doing everything possible in last few runs. Apart from that I can't see anything else challenging until closer form study ;)
For the slipper, I think that if I Got Chills runs well, it wins. It is easily the most impressive 2yo that i have seen out of all this bunch and if it takes to the course it should nail them. Diego seems quite an on and off horse, one might even go as bold to say it was a wet tracker, and i am still not sure about it. Tuesday Joy's formlines seem one of the best in the race, and i have backed it at $13.00. Miss Finland won't win, wasn't good enough last start. I've also had a bit on Turfiste, the Waterhouse runner that has only raced once. I've heard big things, and will be interesting to see how it leads up. Casino Prince and Universal Queen were impressive last start, however i am not that keen on their value. For a big roughie, maybe a bit on Pulsator at the current 200-1 in the hope of a late entrance? :D

Just on Johan's Toy, seems like every man and his dog noticed her run on Sat.
Ran 2nd in the Epsom last year so 1600m Randwick not a problem, her running style will always be the problem.

Anchor I probably noticed it more having some cash on her myself Just hope if Beasley is aboard in the Doncaster he gives her a bit better ride.

I'm liking Diego Garcia in the slipper. the only thing against it is that John Singleton doesnt own it. I like Mnemosyne in the doncaster. very impressive third last start and i know i said i thought he needed 1800 but maybe 1600 will be enough. i noticed Zipping in the market. its got almost no chance of making the field but i do like this horse

Patezza will be cherry-ripe for this looks a strong chance
Utzon yet to win 1600 (from memory) but looks more than capable
20/1 Apache Cat looks good value in fine form
ditto Ike's Dream and like Patezza will be cherry-ripe for this

I don't disagree with you there ubetiwill certainly a very nice horse in the making however it is going to have to win on saturday to get into the field I would imagine. I have already had a little e/w on both Gallant Tess and My Lady's Chamber both of them look to be ridiculos odds.

Apache Cat and Johan's Toy are my top 2 picks now, I love Lad of the Manor but I feel he is going to have to do an extraordinary job concedeing that much weight to some pretty good horses down the bottom of this race. I was a big fan of Patezza but on his last run I can't see him beating Lad home might be wrong but he will be racing without my money this year.
this is a triffecta I am thinking of putting on
1) Apache Cat, Johan's Toy, Malcolm
2) Apache Cat, Johan's Toy, Malcolm, Lad of the Manor, Utzon, Swick.
