I have been doing the form for the Sydney Cup.

My final contenders for the cup for further study are

2,12,6,5,4,9

I'm leaning towards

2 On A jeune who ran a good 2nd in the Melbourne Cup beatean 1/2 length. This horse gets back in his races and if any og his past races are any guide he should fly home. He's in this with a chance. Suggest a small bet each way at the odds.
6 Fooram who won the Chairman's Hcp over 2600m. The cup is an extra 600m, which i think he can run. All though untried at the distance and he does get back, so if the pace is slow up front look for him to fly home at the finish. Suggest win only and bank in the trifecta or first four.
