I'm back after a longer than normal rest due to 2 heart attacks.

Now. my question is I'm about to conduct 6 months research on past results in the hope of finding a profitable system. What sort of questions should i be asking myself. Where should i be looking?

Any advice is most welcome.

Sorry to hear you've been ill Benny, hope all is well now.

Your question has many many answers. Get as much data as you can, I would suggest that six months won't be enough to draw any accurate conclusions.

Glad to have you back here.

Cheers.

It reminds me of a story I read about the late , great punter Perce Galea in the 50's.
He was instructed by his Doctor ,because of his heart problems , to avoid getting over excited at the races ,to lower his bets down to say only $5000 a race.
The great Perce Galea was most offended , who chibed....
"I would'nt even bother wiping my butt with that amount."

Cheers & Good Health.

Hi Benny,

When I did research for my current method I went back 2 years. Whatever you come up with, always remember the Pareto Principle (or law of the vital few).

The value of the Pareto Principle for a punter is that it reminds you to focus on the 20 percent of the statistics that REALLY matter. I posted more on this here a long time ago but it still may be accessible.

All the best and stay healthy.
