Doomben Races Saturday

Just a quick summary this week,,in a hurry ,,

Race 1.
Craiglee Bob should be at his peak this run...comes out of a stronger form race than most of the others..Regimental and Nevada both should be thereabouts,,,Perette the one to be charging home..i like her better across the road but with Stewart off shes a big show here..

Race 2.
Wont be taking the silly odds about RockonBye..i think Suubirds in great form should be on the speed and has the better form lines....Hot Symbol the bigger danger....

Race 3.
Not an easy race this one...i'll be looking for value and like the way Bigger Than has been finishing his races off,,,i'll be working tris with him and The Spear who looks the likely leader and thats always good around this track ..Playground express after a couple of trials a good show also...

Race 4.
Nexgen was impressive last start..Colless the master at getting every bit out of a horse..I like the look of this Divine Conqueror ,,hes a giant of a horse that just didnt travel well last start ..he kept on fighting and i think from the inside barrier he'll be very hard to run down...Ric will benefit from that run as much as the horse will..
Two Dancers if he could just settle is right in this,,they keep experimenting with gear changes but if they get it right the horse has ability...

Race 5.
Going for a roughie here in Tornadic Sky...the young trainer treats them very nicely and he really needed that run ,,,pefer him on the slow but he can give good cheek in this.....The Big Easy has been hitting the line well of late and another in this open race that could surprise..

Race 6.
Looking for something to come of the hot pace up front in this...Maxy Legs and Mr Seqential both fit the bill..
I think Maxy given time to settle has a super sprint ..prefer her against the girls though she still should be competitive against this lot....Mr Sequential good first up and nicely weighted..

Race 7.
If this race was at EF i'd take on Starlactic...but here at Doomben he should still be to strong for them...Enthusiast and Anca both huge dangers up to the 1350m......i doubt Starlactic will be much price...i'll be playing with tris with these 3 ..Panzer racing very well a good place chance....if Enthusiast is paying double figures he might be the better e/w bet than guessing if Starlactic can run the distance..

Race 8.
Buzz made up a million lengths last start....has no weight and deserves a win ...Noble Gaze will have company up front this time but still capable of hanging on...Mikan and Kutalo both dangers..

ok day at Doomben

Race 1: 3.Nevada Gambler; 2.Craiglee Bob; 4.Regimental

Nevada Gambler drawn the rail and racing well.

Race 2: 7.Rock on By; 3.Suubird; 2.Hot Cymbal

Rock on By going nicely after a bleeding attack last prep, and get in on the minimum. Just needs some luck from the barrier.

Race 3: 7.Playground Express; 5.The Spear; 9.Quizzical Lady

Playground Express is the class here, having a 2.6l 6th to Excites to his credit.

Race 4: 1.Nexgen; 2.Divine Conqueror

Skinny race with only two chances. Nexgen gets in nicely with the claim.

Race 5: 11.Young Lion; 1.Frisco's Lass

Weak race. Young Lion ran easily the fastest 1323m of 4 run on that day at Toowoomba. Should get a nice run with no weight.

Race 6: 8.Sequallan; 2.Maxy Legs; 5.Mr Sequential

Sequallan has won 3 of his last 5, is drawn well and has a light weight.

Race 7: 2.Starlactic; 6.Anca

Starlactic was dominant last time. Will run well again (1,350 1st time a query). Anca the only danger.

Race 8: 3.Noble Gaze; 8.Charvicky; 1.Kutalo

Very keen on Noble Gaze here. Has won 2 of 3 this track and distance. Up in weight, but down in class from last run. Will be very hard to beat.

nice call there in the 5th mav, had a couple each way on tornadic sky, and thought i was collecting with 50 to go, just couldnt hold on. ahh well $5.70 the place is great.

Turned out to be a very good day with 4 winners on top at Doomben. I backed Nevada Gambler $3.7; Rock on By $2.64; Nexgen $3; Mr Sequential $7; Anca $4.2 and Noble Gaze $3.5. Tips on the other thread scored 6 from 9, additional winners being La Vie Amour $3.8; Maribeau $4.6; Tzu Hsi $3.9 and Crosswise $4.8.

well done Filante..

i had a shocker yesterday...ok in Brissie with Tornadic Sky /Mr Sequential and The spear were all collects..
biggest result in brissie was with my smallest outlay in the 7th with Anca /Enthusiast and Panzer and Starlactic multis..
Assertive Lass down in melbourne a good result..but to many placings and unlucky runs the order of the day..
..had such a good week last week but crashed down to earth yesterday.
thats racing i suppose....

Thought Quizical Lady super impressive yesterday..as was Anca ..
down south how impressive was Haradasun ...huge run..as was Green Birdie in the same race.....

Newtons Rings rates a mention..hasnt the trainer done a super job in placing him in the right races......have to love the consistancy of the horse and he won easily yesterday ...but in that field he was well placed..
