View Full Version : One Place Getter from 2 Plan

Heres a plan that has been performing well & maybe should be looked at closer.

Top 2 selections, one place getter (PG)Plan

1) Target the Top 2 UniTAB selections or any other reliable source.
2) Both selections must have 3 positions or symbols after its name.e.g.2x3 or 436. or 298 or 684 or 5F3 or 65P ect.
Must not have 44 or 31 or 1 or 6 after the horses name.
If so , its a Non-Qualifying race, because it has to have 3 symbols after its name.

3)One of the horses must have been placed in one or more of the 3 symbols .
4) The other horse must not of had a placing in those 3 symbols after its name as per UniTAB.

E.g. Horse "A" could be 10X & Horse "B" could be 479
Horse "A" would be the selection.
OR
"A" could show 312 & "B" could show 444 for their last 3 positions-
"A" would be the selection. Because its the only one of the 2 that shows a placing.

If "A" had 10x & "B" had 243 - Its a No-Bet race ,because both had a placing.
Only one of them is allowed to have a placing.

There is usually 2-10 bets most days, with a strong strike rate & level stakes profit ,so far.

The Desert sands could easily shift the other way , but so far so good , so check it out.
So far it works on NZ & Sth African , Hong Kong races aswell.

Example.
Today Tue 22nd Aug , there were 2 selections for 2 wins $3.80 , 1.70 = 175% POT
It has shown profit 4 days in a row .
Sat 19th Aug had 13 bets for 3 wins 23% SR Divs $4.10,4.40,5.90NZ
=11%POT

It could be an ongoing goer.
Cheers.

Intersting concept, Bhagwan.

Applying the rules to the pre-post market in the Telegraph there are three selections today:

Murray Bridge R2 no.15 - Rubeve
Murray Bridge R9 no.8 - Rudyard
Belmont R4 no.4 - Yava Lad.

How have you applied the prepost market to Bhagwan's original rules?

Using original rules [Radio Tab] I have today's selections as

Warwick Farm 3.7
5.7

Werribee 2.2

Murray Bridge 6.12

Belmont 4.4

New Zealand 2.7

Nothing for South Africa at this stage

Cheers

Peakster, I looked at the fave and outright second-fave after scratchings in the pre-post market. The p.p. market can be somewhat distorted but you'd think they should more than not get it right with the two top ones.

There were no N.Z. selections - R2 had no.4 as the fave and no.2 as the second-fave, as they were both unplaced in their last three starts/symbols there were no selections in this race.

Well done chaps .
Both initial approaches showed a profit.
Michaelg's Divs - 5.90,1.80 from 3
Peakester's Divs - 5.20,1.80 from 5
That's now 5 days in a row ,making a profit.

It would be interesting to see if one can make the wheels fall off .

As originally stated, select the Top 2 horses from UniTAB or from any other reliable source & the Pre-Post market is as good as anything else out there. They do have a strong SR with their Top 2 Pre-Post Favs on their own outright price lines.
The Duel Pre-post Favs have nearly 45% SR but there average divs can be somewhat lower.

I use the UniTAB because its readily available after scratchings on the Net for anyone else to use ,along with the odd strong paying div, without having to purchase a newspaper.

UniTAB has an approx 40% SR of one of those 2 getting up & it is approx the same or slightly higher with the pre-post market.
The Pre-Post market is usually more accurate in SR than most rating services out there, who charge big money for their services..

I'm sure others out there, have their own favorite reliable Top 2 to use .
It's the separation process of the Top 2 that is of importance here.

Would anyone else out there, like to name their favorite Top 2 selection source ,that produces a reasonable SR ?

The average individual tipster, usually has an approx 36% SR in their top 2 , based on a research survey I was reading ,over a 2 year period.
Suprisingly ,it did not seem to waver much between any of them over a year to year basis.

The worst , just out of interest , was the Computer Card (Weekend Aust) There could be a potential lay system in that one, targeting their top ranked horse that they have priced at $3.10+ & lay it to loose, because they shaw do loose a lot , with long runs of outs & if they ever do win ,they pay 3/4 of FA.

Cheers.

Hi, Bhagwan.

I agree - Computercard was the worst. It didn't take long to realise its terrible record which was surprising because the selections and prices were computer generated. It's a pity they were published in the Telegraph prior to the introduction of Betfair. Are they now available anywhere?

As your system did well yesterday, 2 winners and three placegetters from three selections I'll list today's selections when available, if any.

I think the Weekend Australian still has the Computer Card.

Bhagwan,
thanks for this one.
As I prefer to use the newspaper for favourites. this one will be interesting for people who use their own state paper.
I have not taken scratchings into account, as some days i would not be able to wait around for unitab or scratchings to come through.

Using the Courier Mail
monday
2 x 2 $5.50, $3.20

tuesday
2 x 1 $5.80

wednesday
3 x 2 $5.90, $1.80 (the third one was different to michaelg's)

thurs
ips 1-4, 4-1
nth 2-6, 9-12
lismore 3-3, 7-2
sand 3-2

Well done Feather.
$7.60 winner from 7 Bets.
There were several unlucky 2nds beaten by some big paying box headed thing

Some of the others prices were well supported in the market , that tells us they where not total duds.

Non the less, a profit was gleamed (9%) .

The Courier Mail Pre-post is as good as the others.
May as well keep using it.

Cheers.
