All hells breaking loose here in Bainsdale area [East Gippsland Vic.]. It's been like 9pm. at night since about 1pm. with a a dark rich red sky and the town as black as night. We are under a fire ember storm at the moment with 80k winds fanning a 300k fire front!

Licola, Red Gum plains, Dargo [God, please save the Dargo pub], Heyfield and numerous other small towns are really up against it. We have blocked off the roof gutters and filled them with water. Lots of ambulances leaving with many of the elderly from the nursing home suffering breathing problems.

It's surreal on the local ABC radio: Cricket/firereports/cricket/fire/cricket/fire. Now it's just: 'fire/fire/fire' reports. Where it's heading, where it's jumped the containment lines and where it's just gone through .... 'get out/stay/ get out/ if your not staying get out now'!

And summer here has just started.

Finally a cool change and a little rain. I fire fighter dead and about a dozen properties gone in this area last night [but the Dargo Pub is still standing].

Looks like nearly everyone here is saving all their bucks to bet with tomorrow.

Fair enough Crash, I had only lost slightly less if all were included, not a good night!
Interestingly, I made the bets because WA TAB covered all these races?!?
I called them to try to understand how their decisions were made on which races were covered and they told me it depended entirely on which were being broadcast on TV.....and that they couldn't tell me till the day before the race?
They told me to write a letter if I wanted more HK coverage as "they love getting punter feedback" which launched me into "the divvies showing 6:70 at the start of the race and paying 1:90 at the end of the race" feedback but apparantly they actually don't like punter feedback on ALL subjects!<grin>

I'm using the same one from the rules:

You must have used a different TAB to check your totals.

Personally I think STAB pays better most of the time but not always. Everyone in the comp. is scored by the same source though, so in the swings and slides of things it's all pretty fair and square.
The Main advantage with Tabonline [UNITAB] above for comps. though is it's absolute ease in looking up lots of different bets at different meetings.
