Hong Kong's biggest meet of the year today and there is some great horses in some quality races around.

unsure what to make of the big takeover target controversy, think i might leave that race alone

should be good to see how aussie jocks craig williams, hugh bowman, danny nikolic etc go, and i will also be watching Growl with interest in the HK Cup

Anyway, using the exceptional guide that is HK racing's Easy Form, i have come up with the folllowing for the card -

Race 1:
7 Jad Dragonfly
9 Red Pepper

Race 2:
1 Rely on Me
8 Towering Feeling

Race 3:
1 Maraahel
2 Collier Hill
(Ouija Board is scratched)

Race 4:
1 Helene Pillaging
4 All's Well
8 Royal Delight

Race 5:
1 Takeover Target
7 Silent Witness
14 She is Tosho

Race 6:
2 Inspiration
6 Bear Macho
13 Galbraith
14 Joy and Fun

Race 7:
1 Bullish Luck
6 Armada
14 Dance in the Mood

Race 8:
7 Admire Moon
8 Pride

Race 9;
5 Lucky Baby
8 Clean Sweep
14 Winning Reward

i've gotta say those hong kong form resources are just amazing, they give you very detailed form guides, sectional times, speed ratings and speed maps for all races, trackwork guides, in depth statistics on horses, trainers jockeys etc its all fantastic. for all this infor go to http://www.hkjc.com/english/racing/startersr1_e.asp and click Easy Form in the box on the right next to the track map and then 'enter easy form' or 'highlights' at the top right

good luck

I've raved on before about the HKJC form service and they give it free.
Something as comprehensive here [if it ever where to exist] would cost $200 a month to access!

So is Takeover Target running or is he still high on steroids and under a ban from starting?

The TAB has scratchings in other races but still has Takeover Target as a starter. Very interested to hear if anyone has heard wether its a yes or no?

Just went to HKJC website to read the form on the race and Takeover Target is not even listed. I take it that means its all over red rover!

Shattering. Now they have no choice but to attack Australia again next autumn and spring, Can't wait-I'll be there to see him!

TO/Target is still as high as a kite on the 'go fast' juice and is scratched. I always wondered why a $1200 horse ran so well. Now I know, it's on the same stuff the handbrake spikes my coffee with!

After posting this I had a closer look at times and noticed Absolute Champion's times and bet on the nose.
I only mention it as it broke a very painfully long losing streak!
I feel a little Inspiration coming on!<grins and punches the air>
(The Fruit and Veg was so painful, I got Scenic SHot at second and Daka's gem at third and my nemisis Niconero stuck his boof head in coz I didnt back it and stuffed me up!)

I had a greta day with my bets at sha tin today funnily enough they were similar to chacks just didn't have a chance to get onto the site at all being at a birthday party most of the night.

I was on Collier Hill it's odds were ridiculos and wasn't it a tough effort also backed Kastoria in the race only for the win but got the quinella 3 times so that was a nice pickup.

In the Sprint I was on Absolute Champion shorter odds then I would normally take but with Prebble on board and it being an **** aussie horse aswell (Genius and Evil) I didn't expect it to be great odds and it blew them away my 2nd pick in the race She is Tosho didn't get the best of luck but didn't do a great deal.

Totally missed out in the mile I liked Dance in the Mood and had an e/w bet on an old fav of mine Russian Pearl neither of them got a great deal of luck but they weren't good enough either on what I saw Fav was very unlucky in this slow pace didn't help it at all.

I liked Pride felt it was the horse to beat here however I didn't back it felt the odds were a bit short for my liking my 2nd pick was Admire Moon and what a finish it pulled off it shouldn't have gotten close to pride would have been giving it atleast 3 lengths at the 200 massive run to get where it did and it is only 3 watch out if it keeps on improving on that run. I got the quinella here 5 times so I didn't totally miss out sure would have loved to have seen Admire Moon get a clearer run at them.

Well done Chuck looking at your tips you had a pretty good day anyway.

Ozzie horse or Ozzie jockey ...as low as 1/3rd the odds here than they are in HK [?]
