I'm looking to make a profit of $2 a bet. I've tring to write a formula using excel to work out my bets.

=A1/B1=D1

where a1 is the odds, b1 is the bet, and d1 is the profit.

In B1 enter:

=D1/(A1-1)


Bet=Profit/(Odds-1)
