Also sold on Ebay and via Ebook under various names, but all the same strategy.

Beware, one of my friends bought a whole lot of systems and they turned out to be all the same - just different names!!!

Thats the one alright.

I believe it came out in the 1950,s.

I remember seeing an ad for it in the old "Man Magazine".

Will see if I can dig a few more up .

That is not quite the Royal Routine system as I have a copy of it from the sixties. The original method was to back each tipster's first selection if it was over 3/1 ($4.00) for a win. If the first selection was less than that price you dropped down to the 2nd selection and so on. I know this system has been given a pasting on this forum but while I was following it I had a fair degree of success with it. It just needed a sensible staking approach. I will dig it out again and have another play with it one day. The reason I stopped using it in the first place was because I couldn't get to the track and it is totally useless on the tab.

I just recieved a copy of the rules you quoted under another system name ( L B) ( Ebook)

Blimey. It came out in the 1950,s and is still being sold.

Its the longest running system in my repetoire.

Talk about recycling.

The claim was " turn $20 into $100,000 in 5 years" and came with a 6 months guarantee and that's betting on Sydney alone. WOW. I think there was also first refusal on a bridge in Sydney as well. The "author was Jack O'Brien.

Beagle, can't resist yet MORE research, those original rules, was that at pre-post prices, bookies prices on offer at the course or what??

The prices are bookies pices at the track where you can take advantage of fluctuations. The claim was that it would work for TAB as well but we all know what happens there when you try to set yourself to win a certain amount at a "guess" pay out.

Darky,

Here's a golden oldie for ya,see if ya can guess what it is!

Rule 1)Eliminate any race where the fav is odds on PP
Rule2)Mark all horses which have raced in the last 9 days(inclusive)
Rule3)Horse must be selected in the most favoured column(must be at least 8 tipsters)
Rule4)Must have placed 1,2,3 at ONE of it's last 2 starts, and if a placing only, must have finished within 3 lengths of the winner.
Rule5)Had 7 career starts,unless 2 or 3YO,then 5 starts.
2 and 3Yo against older horses 7 starts.
Rule6)Has had 2 starts this prep, and has not won it's last 3 starts.
Rule7)Eliminate Maidens an Jumps, and jumpers runnung in flat races.
Rule8)Last start winner must not be going up in weight more than 1and a 1/2 kilos or down in weight more than 5&1/2 kilos from last start(after deducting any apprentice allowance)
Rule9)If there are 3 selections for any one race, bypass that race.
If there are 2 selections, the bet is the horse which is better off at the weights compared to last start,UNLESS
a)both have the same weight difference or there is only 1/2 kilo between them
b)both raced in a set weights feature race and today's race is similar
c)one of the horses is down in class
If either a,b,or c apply, the bet is the longer priced of the 2 in the prepost market.
When there are more than 5 selections at a single meeting, eliminate any runners less than 5/2 PP.

There are also a set of Super Select rules, but I'm sick of typing right now.If your'e interested I'll post 'em later on.
