"The Form"

I find it difficult to understand just why the new SMH, Herald, Mercury "The Form" has not been mentioned here (that I have noticed anyway --- perhaps I have missed it somewhere).

The SMH has touted it as "the world's biggest newspaper racing guide". It is certainly colourful. and choc full of all sorts of info.. Is there too much?

One thing to note is that it will only be included in the newspaper for four weeks --- after that you will have to ask for it from your newsagent (though it will still be free according to what they say).

i think the new form is great, its good to see they're taking on the sportsman and wizard and the like. the herald's form (in sydney) has always been the standout in my opinion, and now with the extras plus detailed form for the provincials its fantastic

What's it like? How many pages?

All there is in Qld is the Courier Mail form guide which is nothing special, but people get it because there's no competition from any other newspaper.

Okay, just found out. 40 pages and it sounds quite impressive! Certainly makes the 16 page Courier Mail guide with just the barest possible form look pretty poor!!! :eek:
