Selections based on Sandgroper ratings for a dead or better track. Track rated fast this morning.

Bad weather on it’s way, if it hits watch for any change in track condition.

Generally a poor class meeting, not much confidence today.

Race 1 no. 1 Jumallique danger no. 2 Storm Shot
Race 2 no. 3 Gaelic Gold, danger no. 4 Honami
Race 3 no. 7 Lombo Choice, danger no. 1 King Canute
Race 4 no. 1 Vain Zoe, danger no. 3 Play The Whistle
Expect marked improvement from Galactic Star – ex NZ having second start in Perth.

Race 5 no. 2 Vampire, danger no. 11 Totally Marooned
Race 6 no. 5 Stone Man, danger no. 3 Hanshandi
Race 7 no. 2 Miss Precisely, danger no. 8 Kiwi Hombre
Race 8 no. 8 Blevvo, danger no. 5 Major Metal

Agree with you Groper - a good day to stay at home.
I've also picked Galactic Star - had Vampire as a roughie due to good Sydney form but have switched to Miller's Fancy. It's going to be a day for ducks.
Too many thin fields with thinly priced favourites - Kalgoorlie looks much better.

If track & weather hold up I like:
Perth R6 No.5 Stone Man
R7 No.9 Lone Lover

Race 3 onwards abandoned, the bad weather has hit big time!

It was terrific weather in Perth. I took all my Belmont stakemoney and whacked it on Lawmaker in the Kalgoorlie Cup. What a champion and what a great story! And a terrific ride from Jeff Noske
