EAGLE FARM Sat. 7.7.07
2/9 Creole (2) [leader], Hawke has a good first up for this fellow but a LOT of leaders in this and might set up for 5 Braebrook* (13) [backmarker] Both for the win.
3/3 Noreil (12) [backmarker] E/W
4/7 Mohawk (16) [backmarker] Can win this. E/W
5/8 Stolit (7) [on-pacer] Due for the win and in the right class for this and gets the 'good' finaly. W
6/11 Dicktator (13) [on-pacer] This prep. is set for this by trainer and will peak here. Expect big improvement at very, very good odds. E/W
7/3 Show Biz Kid (10) [backmarker] W, Overdue win prospect racing well. Rasmussen (3) [Leader] . Rassmussen the big danger but will start as fav. at very poor odds.
8/1 Precise Timing (8) [Mid-fielder]. At best is way down in class. Might improve [needs to] on the good track and the claim will help. E/W at odds.

Get-out Stakes:
I'd have to throw in 2 Diamond Sun who strikes his first good track for a few runs. Can't win on anything else so his past couple of runs on the Slow and Heavy should be ignored. The toppy as mentioned in earlier post also gets his chance here as was tightened for room last start, but really needs to improve.

R5/8 Stolit, 2 Devil inside [Exacta]
Mohawk is down 5kg. BUT is on a 6 day turn-around after run on a heavy track, so e/w for sure here. Don Marko might be a surprise after 1 start and 1 win but way up in class [In very good hands].

G'day Crash,
Just to let you know Stolit has been scratched from Race 5. In that race, I'm hoping Sir Monashee will run over Devil Inside just before the post. I'll also have a bet each way for On Potential. Good luck.

Race 1,
Does look a good race for My Man Murphy but i'll be staying away at those odds,,,Guessipino with the weight drop and did look ok last start the next...I went looking for an improver at odds that will be suited by the 1400m and the track,,,thought Norse Code with Goltz making the trip into town before he jumps in the car and goes back out to Toowoomba worth including in your multis...not a great punting race to start off with ...
Race 2,
As Crash has said theres alot of speed in this race,,,,i loved the way Doonan won last start and the way he was ridden,,he'll get the nice run in this and if ridden again quietly he could be the one the come over the top of them..Tornadic Sky will give good cheek in this and Breabook suited by the likey tempo...I like this Tour Guide but hes going to have pressure to deal with,,,still hes got ability and in a stable who can set them 1st up very well.....
I like Doonan at the odds,,maybe 9's or more ? but a good trifecta race with the others mentioned...
Race 3,
Hy Dream, Daring Fortune , Silver Halo and Phoenix Express,,,i have in this order,,,Hy Dream on top but i think will be supported ,,Daring Fortune won very well last start and could have won by more so dont let the 1 length margin fool you,,Hy Dream was in the same race but didnt get a fair crack..
Hy Dream if i can get on...doubt it though..
Race 4,
Antidotes rates very well..does look to good for them,,Main Vein if he jumps with them and with the weight pull a big danger...I'd like to be on Prince leo but he has been dissapointing of late,,hes still atleast a place chance in this field back on the better..
Thorondo and Innocent Harry worth including in your exotics..
Antidotes 5's is nice value if you can get it...
Race 5,
Can little Emma do it ?? poor girl was on the wrong part of the track last start but the jockey couldnt have known that at that time..she'll get the last crack at them in this and i'd be all over her if Coome with his claim was on....Devils Inside is a flying machine and super fresh,,from the good barrier Emma might find him to quick to catch..
Devils Inside over Emma,,with Black Suit whos has the awkward barrier and average jock still capable around this course..Sir Monashee back to the more suitable distance a good chance also..
Race 6,
I like horses especially over this distance that are proven over it...Pentathon fits the bill and i think will like the better track,,,I like Scupltor but hes only a pony and this prep must be taking its toll,,,,Ice Chariot back on the better and on this course the main danger....Old Lester a chance of jagging a place...
Pentathon but would like 5's ??
Race 7,
How hard is this race ?? I'd like to back an old favourite in Show biz Kid but is old legs holding up ?? looked good last start but did the track suit as imo it seemed more dead than good,,,,,i like Tellem e/w as i think he can take the sit just behind the speedsters and put himself into the race....Son Of Dane again should figure in the finish,,,,,Falais hard to catch but had no luck last start ,,ridden very quiet can sprint well..Enrique ?? would rather it over 1400m but again he looked good last start...
Very hard race but at the juicy odds i'll have something on Tellem and if Falaise is around the 12's i'll back both......
good race to go wide with the 1st4 as its a big jackpot,, ..
Race 8,
Another hard get out of jail race,,,Mosta House rates on top,,great run last start but might be unders here,,,I thought Motivate ran very well last start and could figure in this,,,at the odds this might be a better bet in a very open race....
Best... Antidotes, Pentathon, Hy Dream
best e/ws.. Doonan, Tellem .Motivate
Sydney
Interche,Mr Clangtastic
Melbourne
Hilston Exchange, Sentire, General Conclusion
Adelaide
Sparkling Xaar, Flying Pheonix

Heck of a hard race as Mav pointed out but I'll go wide in the the place legs:
!st. Show biz kid
2nd/3rd./4th: Son of Dane [horse deserves 1 lousy run last start], Falaise, Enrique, Street Smart, Lemartre

Have ot had the timne to do the usual this week although I must admit I have very little interest today anyway
Race 2: Braebrook E/W
Race 3: Grand Corso E/W
Race 4: Princess Norma E/W
Race 6: Sculptor W (Not all that interested though)
Race 7: Lesmartre E/W (Yea again I know)
Race 8: Tackman E/W
I love Hillston Exchange but they have not missed him in the weights today will still have something on him as long as he doesn't end up shorter than around $6

I think I might give up my 12mth. experiment with picking winners in QLD and return to what I know ...Vic. racing. I can't seem to pick my nose in QLD and I've had 2 winners in Melb. [even on a heavy track] today so far.
Anyway, still have a couple of longshots to go up there. Who knows?

Woohooo Late breaking news ,,,Mav actually wins for the day ????
Hilston Exchange, Sentire, Flying Pheonix and Mosta House ..
incredible ,,,still have Idylic Prince alittle later so it could be a big one..
Pentathon would have been nice ..but got something back on the exotics..
Doonan ..didnt get the clearest of runs but did have enough room at the end..
Tellem / Falaise ???
Happy down south,,,Mr Clangtastic would have been huge....
Agree with Crash,,,although i was around the mark in brissie it was still a loss for me there,,,didnt get the odds Antidotes,Hy Dream,Devils Inside which proved to be lucky,,.My Man Murphy won but to short for me,,
How good was Tour Guide ?? very very impressive....

Now what I can't understand is they look fairly similar figures, actually as far as the average punter is concerned Brisbane was better.
SO why is Brisbane Dodgy and Melbourne good?????

It's all one-eyed of course. At least from this punter.
If your punting life has been centered mostly around one state's tracks, it's a moral that state's racing is better understood.
i just did a little experiment over about the last 12mths to see if I could get to grips with QLD racing. I've had some good wins over that time but overall it's been a disastrous experiment. Because QLD only attracted a small percentage of my punting dollar, I probably concentrated on trying to snag long-shots all the time with my bets up there. A good recipe for disaster I guess :-))
By the by, I did mean 'home of the dodgy bothers' [not doggy] in my original post. Just a typo error. Which was of course a biased opinion from me, as I'm sure there are punters who think the same about Vic. racing!
