Hi everyone.

Just found this forum and thought I'd tell you about one of my favourite systems. Here's the rules:

1) Saturday Melbourne Races
2) Only look at races with 8 to 12 starters
3) Pick the Favourite with the greatest odds difference from the second favourite.

That's it. Simple. ie. For Caulfielfd tomorrow, Race 4 No.6 Gold Edition.

Obviously one bet a week is not going to make you rich. So I use it in conjunction with my other systems. I've been studying/programming horse racing systems for 28 years now and this simple system has proven to be the most accurate in all that time. Not the highest for profit returns, per se, but for percentage of wins/places.

Haven't tried it in other States or on other days so I may need to look into that. With Gold Edition at $1.60, I'll be giving that whole race a miss.

BTW, is there anywhere here where all the tested systems are compiled into the one thread?

Welcome to the forum BigL :-))

Worth noting that Gold Edition has lost both starts at this track and is coming back from 1200m to 1000m which is never a good move.

Might win but is the horse worth odds-on?

No worries. What a difference a night makes. I usually use Saturday morning's Form Guide from the newspaper. The selection has changed. Sonic Quest (Race 2, No.1) is now the favouite with the greatest odds difference from the second favourite in Melbourne races with 8-12 runners.

It's difference is $3.80 whereas Gold Edition now only has a $3.10 difference to its second favourite.

Anyhow, it's time for me to head out to Caulfield.

Won but a $1.30? Picked up much better than than for a place on Let Go Thommo.
Odds-on, look on.

Yeah. Like I said, it's my most accurate system in regards to places/bets but obviously not the most profitable.

Where did you see it at $1.30

I backed it at $1.96 and it paid $1.50 or $1.60 on each of the totes.

20% better ;)

Sorry, for the wrong info. BigL!

Your right Chrome. It paid 1.60 Stab down here in Vic. I bet around all the odds-on favorites yesterday. and except for Miss Finland they all got up! I did score e/w on Gamble Me [18.90w Stab] in r2. I couldn't believe the price.

As far as odds-on Fav. go, I'll bet around them if I can see reasons for them to lose. If not, I ignore the race. 3 out of 4 getting up yesterday was just my bad luck!

Chrome, that was a very good bet @$1.96 was that after commission? even so, still good.

This co-uinciding with my concentation with pre-post odds on shots. But last week Far Horizons quoted at $1.90 and saluted at $6 (Top Fluc) takes the biscuit.
